If Kelly Bryant were to come here my gut tells me

Not "Clemson's true freshman". Try "The #1 Overall pick in 2021". You guys haven't watched this kid play, or what? I'm legitimately confused. There is NO SHAME in having your job taken by Trevor Lawrence. He's the best HS QB prospect I've ever seen.

It wasn't hard for him to unseat Bryant at all. Bryant's put up meh stats which is a huge indictment considering the offensive weapons he had around him while at Clemson.

Bryant is very good.. I don't know why you would think hes not

The kid is solid, he also played behind a solid offensive line at Clemson.

Richt needs to turn most of his focus to a big time OL/OC hire. There is a reason Alabaga didn't need better than average QBs before the Tua riches landed....they were too well developed and coached on the OL.

Get the OL right, the skill positions are just gravy...and we always have top notch gravy. Short of that, it wont matter if its Bryant or anyone else.

Actually watch him play. Win/loss record is so overrated. Malik was at one time 11-0 to start his career and I told everyone over the summer if he starts this year, we’re ****ed. Hurts is what 26-2 and he SUCKS. Bryant is better than both but not a game changer and not worth it. Everett Gholson was 12-0 at ND then lost to Bama, was ineligible for a season, transferred to FSU and that was a dumpster fire. ****ing in the wind if we got Bryant.

Wherever he goes, hes going to start. That's a promise whatever coach is recruiting him will have to make. And if that's the case, why would any of Perry, Williams, and/or Weldon stay. If the staff that recruited you and is attempting to develop you decides someone from outside the program is a better option, it's time to leave.

Lawrence reminds me of sunshine from Remember the Titans (in appearance only) but man can he spin a freakin ball. I've watched him a play a ton this year and he just keeps getting better each game that he plays. Boston College had a good game plan against him and showed him some looks that he had not seen in the past (plus his offensive line had trouble controlling the ends of BC) but once the game got in the 3rd and 4th quarters, Lawrence settled down and BC could not stay with Clemson's depth on offense/defense. No team can outside of Alabama and Georgia right now IMO.

I do watch him play and he is miles better than Rosier and significantly better than last year. I still don't want him, I was just saying he is better than people think.

Agree with you, but only Bama and Clemson can compete with each other on the field now that Lawrence is the Starter at Qb. Georgia not on the same plain as those two schools this year and it will be proven in the SEC title game.

If Bryant comes here, we could see our number of offensive plays easily double to 10.

If Bryant comes here, the young guys are going to bounce. He won't be going anywhere to sit, and there is no way one or both of Perry/Williams are down with yet another year behind an inferior older arm talent.

I want what wins us more games, but he is going to cost us a future season to win 8 games in 2019, and I am not sure that is worth it.

Even if Bryant came here, which I don't think he is, it would be 100% pointless for Perry or Williams to transfer. You still have to sit out a year if you transfer to an FBS program, so they would just be sitting out the 2019 season anyway. Plus Perry has already used his red shirt so sitting out a year would just cost him a year of eligibility.

Totally agree! This seems like a total Richt move to prove his offense is still great and he just needed a 'good QB'. All the while, our young guys will still NOT develop on JOn RiCht and we still don't have '19 QB which means if/when they transfer we'd have lost another year or 2.

The kid is insanely good. Out of this world good.

Bryant isn’t coming here not under this offense. He may have looked like Aaron Rodgers in ACC Champ game vs us last year but wait until he gets a taste of Rick’s offense he will look more like Ryan Leaf..

Hate to say it but his best look would be UNC if Fedora stays.

Bryant is not coming here. He does not want to be buried in a program that will be worse in 2019 than this year. The guy played for Clemson and won a ship. No way he comes here and plays for a lousy team.

At this point I'm actually rooting for Richt to win that offseason argument. Assuming our puppet AD grows a sack and tells Richt to hire an OC, the best thing that could happen for Canes fans is for Richt to say no.

The leash would instantly get shorter and you can bet everything his underqualified *** would continue sucking....which could help expedite his departure.

No transfers, no coaches.....we burn one more year and then HOPEFULLY get a decent coach.
Best case scenario (realistically)
