Took a look at Rivals appears the 2016 class is currently ranked #7 in the country. At this point we all know that Golden hasn't done the
best coaching job since he has been here.

I also have read where most OPs believe that a change in defensive philosophy and at times a more attacking offense maybe the answer

QUESTION: If Golden's fired and position coaches retained does that save the recruiting class or classes? Who can we hire to retain
our commits or maybe improve the class.

Most players for whatever the reason have said that if Golden isn't retained they are going to look around.

We are ranked 7 right now the following players are under ranked/rated: T. Homer (3-star), Z.Moss, M. Pinkney , Josh Uche ,James Pierre and Dion Jackson out of this group there's at least another 3-4 , four-star players driving the total up to 10 or 11.

Say what you want but Golden is starting to recruit his A@# off and one of the most important parts of returning to glory days is talent evaluation and acquiring better players. Star are just a recruiting services opinion and development of talent is also important

Thoughts?

***** Golden's recruiting class. Let the new coach decide who he wants. Stop thinking short term and worrying about one class.

The correct hire as head coach is far more important than any one recruiting class.

This will probably me moved to the recruiting board but the reality is...they will all decommit. It will be open house in Coral Gables. BUT we can salvage some of them if we act quickly and hire a good name. (Obviously, Butch would salvage 75% of the class easily)

Kids are already lining up their backup plans in case the bottom drops out of this thing..(ARichards and McCloud - AUB, Shaq/Uche- ALA, Bruce - UF, etc)

get a real coach in and he should save a good amount of the class as long as the move is made early enough. What's most important is just getting rid of Golden. If we lose a few guys because of the firing, so be it. Bottom line is Golden could hand pick 30 guys every year and still be a loser because it's all he knows. It's a **** shame the move wasn't made last year because this class would be completely secure and we would have a competent coach (presumably, though don't underestimate UM's ability to ***** this up again)

2017 has five four-star recruits so far. Don't get me wrong fellas Good coaching is very important but how good is Les Miles, Nick Saban , coach at UGA (name fails me) several others when they all get highly rated guys at every position every recruiting cycle.

Shouldn't they be strong if they acquire top level talent year in and out?

September recruiting doesn't mean Jack shiite. Closing in February is the only thing that counts and 3-9 will kill the euphoria.

He has yet to close out a recruiting class. We always have some sort of fiasco at the end. Even last year when we got our slap on the wrist from the NCAA and had no "cloud" hanging over us. He still whiffed and ended up with depth issues at multiple positions.

Hey tough guy .. ease up on the blog tough talk. I am a REAL HURRICANE fan I don't care who coaches us as long as we win.. I am only interested in the talent that we are able to get which gets us closer to glory days and back to dominant play on the field.

I WILL NEVER WISH FOR MY TEAM TO LOSE EVERY GAME.. LIKE SOME OF YAWL. I DONT LIKE THE LOSING AND SEVERAL OTHER DECISIONS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE . BUT WIN LOSE OR DRAW I RIDE WITH THE U.

this class will fall apart the longer FHEG is retained.

get Butch in here NOW and the class will be much better.

it isnt really that great right now TBH. its inflated by a bunch of FHEG projects

The proper hire returns excitement and interest to the recruiting process. There needs to be confidence and stability in recruiting. Currently there is scepticism and uncertainty.
