IF Golden's fired the impact on RECRUITING

Took a look at Rivals appears the 2016 class is currently ranked #7 in the country. At this point we all know that Golden hasn't done the
best coaching job since he has been here.

I also have read where most OPs believe that a change in defensive philosophy and at times a more attacking offense maybe the answer

QUESTION: If Golden's fired and position coaches retained does that save the recruiting class or classes? Who can we hire to retain
our commits or maybe improve the class.

Most players for whatever the reason have said that if Golden isn't retained they are going to look around.

We are ranked 7 right now the following players are under ranked/rated: T. Homer (3-star), Z.Moss, M. Pinkney , Josh Uche ,James Pierre and Dion Jackson out of this group there's at least another 3-4 , four-star players driving the total up to 10 or 11.

Say what you want but Golden is starting to recruit his A@# off and one of the most important parts of returning to glory days is talent evaluation and acquiring better players. Star are just a recruiting services opinion and development of talent is also important

Thoughts?

Around this time last year we had four 4 star RB's verbally committed. We ended up with one. Kids know sh*tty coaching when they see it. In addition, after we finish near the a$$ end of the Coastal we'll have a bunch jumping ship anyway. Recruiting doesn't mean jack until mid to late January of that particular cycle.

Albortion showed last season what he can do with a talented team. He had more players drafted than he had wins. Get rid of this bum, STAT!

swag 16 is a ploy by golden to keep his job. most those kids are just waiting on who the new coach will be.

Gentlemen...

The Recruiting class doesn't mean anything if the Person guiding them is lost...

Get The Right Coach and the recruits will always be there or he will coach'em up to get the best out of what he has...

Quite frankly.. the recruiting aspect of losing kids - should be inconsequential. You would want the new coach to get his own kids and evaluate who he should bring in. His style may not fit what the old coach was looking for.

I haven't gone through this thread to see if anyone else has touched on this. But, the OP fails to realize, or at least keep up with recruiting. Reason I say this, is that some of these kids committed to Miami but wants them to have a good winning season and see how they do. Bruce is one of those kids who many believe is a silent to UF (I'm one of those individuals). This is why many on this board want Golden fired immediately and replaced as soon as possible with a quality coach so he can salvage the class instead of having to put together a patch work class like Golden had to in his first year. In college, there's no convenient time to fire a coach, it will always affect something. But with Golden, we need to tear the band-aid off as soon as possible.

Same thing was talked about last year, but in the end he lost half the class anyway and we still have F-AG. And with all these good recruits he brought in the past 4 years he still can't beat teams that had classes ranked 30-50 spots below us on average.

If you told me now we'd have a class ranked 50+ if we fired Golden it still wouldn't stop me. Especially if we actually get a QUALITY and PROVEN Head Coach in here (BUTCH).

A Good/Great coach will do more with a recruiting class ranked #50 then Golden would do with a class ranked #10 .

Cut ties and move on... best move for all parties.

Question: Is Butch a good Coach (Xs and Os) or is he a program builder. Acquires talent, great evaluator etc? Does his age concern anyone? I read this in another post BUTCH DAVIS they brought up some valid points.

Should he be the next guy and how much does he have in the tank ..???

Whether it's Butch or not.. doesn't matter to me..
For me personally... at this point I just need a change from AG's regime...

Now who we bring in is a whole another discussion...

This thread was about how much it impacts recruiting and I lean to its not as important as to making the right hire.

----- Excuse me for a sec...----

Hey Brett Senior... get your boy that Rutgers job... (when it becomes open)

Homer is a 4 star on ESPN and 247 Sports I don't about Rivals.

Butch Davis to any recruit... " I came to Miami and put together the BEST college football team to ever play. I left because the NFL was any coach's dream job. I haven't coached in a while because I have been waiting for this opportunity to finish what I started. Now get your *** in the car and lets go win National Championships"

It depends on when he's canned and who the replacement is.

If the replacement is Butch and he has any time to work, well, we'll have a helluva class.

The top DT in the country is from NJ (Rashan Gary) and the #2 is from the Tampa area (Shavar Manuel)....

We would end of with some serious DTs which would be a nice change from the recent past....

And he'd load up the other positions, too - ALL the other positions....

The better question is "IF Golden's isn't fired what's the impact on RECRUITING"
Because if there is one thing Golden has proven is that a recruits commitment to Al Golden is REALLY meaningless.

As far as keeping staff. It's nothing something they should force the new coach to do. That's a bad way to start.

I wouldnt want to lose a recruiting class.

Golden should keep getting extended until recruiting doesnt exist anymore. If he dies before that happens, the head coach title should be passed on to his first born. That way there will always be continuity between classes.

Should this last several generations, and there is no one to pass the head coach title, then it shall be bestowed upon the oldest living relative of Dnofrio or Coley, in that order.

No matter what, we should not risk losing a recruiting class. There are only 5-6 good players coming out of high school every year in the entire country. We cant sacrifice that, just so you clowns can have a new coach that wins games and stuff.

Recruiting rankings mean nothing if you can't develop these players. It's why we continuously lose to teams we should beat.

#SLAG16 !!!!!!

no. Nobody should worry about a class that isn't even committed yet. As mentioned, we have had good classes and done nothing, and Folden is notorious for early commits and later the class becoming a train wreck.

Folden goes even if he's got the number 1 class presently because it doesn't matter. We lost to Cincinnati. He's a liability.

Ask poster Sonny Long how the absence of Al Golden would impact recruiting. His kin would have come here but for Corch Al-bortion.

2017 has five four-star recruits so far. Don't get me wrong fellas Good coaching is very important but how good is Les Miles, Nick Saban , coach at UGA (name fails me) several others when they all get highly rated guys at every position every recruiting cycle.

Shouldn't they be strong if they acquire top level talent year in and out?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA holy shi.t
