My point is there is no distinct qualifications for a coach selection..all the ones who are proven aren’t going anywhere right now. That’s kelly, saban, and Dabo. Those are the only slam dunks out there. Everyone else is a leap of faith

listen when we had that 3 game skid to PSU, ECU, and FSU i was mad as ****. that being said, we didnt have the access to info like we do today to realize what a bad spot butch was in.

In the same amount of time Lane took FAU (who was worse than FIU) to 11 wins, won the C- USA, and is 2-0 vs Butch. UAB didn’t have have a football program three years ago and they’ve won the C-USA.

So every year Butch has been at FIU a coach with less won the conference.

He put 25 1st Rounders into the NFL from 95-2004 at UM alone....including 5 Soon to be/already in HOFers....

If you all had any idea what Butch put up with in ref to the administration and BOT nitpicking him to Death, you'd be stunned....
Recruiting efforts at UM from 95-2000...especially the Miles they put in, were/are unparalleled in UM History....They NEVER liked him...and the feeling was more than mutual....

How have things been since Butch's kids & assistants left after the 2004 season???.....
15 F-ing yrs...and not a F-ing thing to show for it.....Garbage *** recruiting...Garbage *** evaluations....Garbage *** Asst. Coaches...Garbage *** everything....

But but but we went out and got us some young up and coming coaches, fresh faces, well except Mork. The new order said Butch was washed up, had never done squat anyway, and stayed on probation. So basically we are 4 coaches in and back at square one where Butch's guys were leaving in the first round. Maybe we can go after one O Bama's GA's next

Then went to a BB school with less talent and thumped us 3 outta 4yrs...I've always said, that is where alot of visceral hate comes from....
