you do realize he had 2 of his sons come to um and be graduates.

The youngest son i dont believe lived with him...and for whatever reason thought he was a qb and obvious position we didnt want him at. I think we looked at Treon as a wr or cb type if i can remember and he stuck to his guns about being a qb...briefly remember ice saying that about his recruitment

Ice has MUCH MORE clout than the board hero Mike Rumph and Banda.

He wants to stay in Florida. He was supposed to go to FAMU a year or two a go and turned it down. He dont wanna leave Miami.

One of his other sons is on that FIU staff that lit us up. lol Tim Jr has been pretty good at FIU actually at rb coach and is a um graduate

Young guy, ice harris coaching tree. Coached at BTW inner city ...and Carol City (powerhouse) and even in broward at Hallandale. He holds some weight locally..not sure what position he is coming on as but as an analyst type he would be a good move. Ive always liked Ice's offenses...and Hyppolitye ran it to a tee. **** i remember when he played qb for btw in like 06 -07

Ice has mentored a lot of the head coaches running HS programs in Dade County right now. I remember hearing, on more than one occasion, Blustein on his radio show ask a local coach about Ice specifically or a general question about who had helped them when they were a young coach finding their way. Ice Harris was brought up as a person who worked with people even when he was gonna have to coach against them or had no personal ties.

It's prolly smart to keep a good relationship with someone who has a good network in the county. One of his guys, Hyppolite seems to be the next generation of that as well.

I realize that both of Ice’s sons came here when Miami was still considered The U.

I also realize that Ice’s influence was minimal. We picked up Thomas & Jackson....who else from BTW? Ice & Harumph influences were/have been womp womp at best.
 
Ice was a major disappointment in recruiting locally...basically made little to no difference. I would go another direction for CoS

Walton, Eduardo Clements, Chavez Grant, Chad Thomas, Demetrius Jackson.
