I Would Be Fine With Retaining Larry Scott...

LOL at Scott being the OL coach. Anyone who suggests such absurdity should drown himself in fat guy a$$ juice.

He has been the run game coordinator and tight ends coach which basically means he designed all the blocking schemes. Coaching tight ends and the offensive line is the same thing as they both use the same techniques. It is the reason that the offensive line coach is also the tight ends coach.

For passing the tight ends usually go over to the wide receiver coach for drills.

**** him....

he has to go too...I dont want any part of that Golden staff anywhere near the players...

He is a ******* coddler and we have enough ******ry on this team now...

he should have been fired after the bowl game....

Do you think that's a reason to keep him? Our run game was 117th in the country.

On top of that, he might coordinate the run game, but that doesn't qualify him to teach OL any more than it qualifies Coley to teach OL technique.

His comments during his time as interim coach made me cringe as they stunk of a man who had been brainwashed by Al Golden. I'd prefer if that mindset wasn't left to fester within the program.

Not to mention, Richt will be overhauling the operation and I suspect many of these guys who've been living on easy street will be in for a shock when they discover 3rd down cotton candy breaks have been removed from practice; I don't want a mutiny to break out as they rally behind former interim coach and current black Al Golden, Larry Scott.

He looked like a pathetic D'Onobrio suck up in that recruiting video. Off with his head!

I was okay with Scott staying until I saw that video.

"I agree with some of what you said, Hurlie, but at the end of the day, he tackled him. He was on the ground."

Yeah, he rode the guy out of bounds 7 yards after contact. FOH.

Pretty sure he will end up being the OL coach though.. I mean where else do you see him coaching? Pretty sure he is being retained so where would you see him coaching, especially as it seems we have an RB and TE coach already. Its not like he has any business coaching WRs. I think he would do well with the OL. But who knows...lol

Rather he coach the WR's than the OL if a spot has to be made for him.
OL coach is just as critical as DL coach.
The OL is the primary thing holding back the offense.
We need to get a proven good one.
If we put Scott as OL coach might as well have keep Kehoe as OL coach.

Why wouldn't you retain Scott? He's done a great job with the TE's. He's well respected amongst the players and he has built ties with the local area high schools. He is also now a familiar face to recruits being that he has been the head man on the sideline for the past 2 months. You send him to a school to recruit a kid and its a much bigger deal than sending some random TE coach from GA that nobody knows. It would be pretty silly to fire him just to say we "cleaned house."

This . I love Scott as no one could of done better under his circumstances. Most everyone on here thought we would win like 5-6 games when Al was shown the door. Scott made what could of been the worst season in 20 years just an average season with some good memories like Duke and good wins like Pitt.

Scott is definitely deserving and has earned his place on the staff. He made Clive Walford into a Mackey finalist! Njoku is a **** beast and Herndon is a solid player as well. Keep him coaching the TEs if Lily does not come.
