Loved him as a player.
One of the great Canes.
But resume is thin.

Most 16-17 year olds who would be recruited by him would never have heard of him.
Time flies, and he's ancient history in that regard.
I'm sure the kids' parents would know of Mr Portis though.

Oh look, another dumbass thread. Clinton Portis has ONE, I repeat ONE year of experience as a RB coach at the collegiate level and it's his ONLY relevant coaching experience. I know our dumbass fanbase will hire any former letterwinner, experience and actual ability be damned, but come the F on. This is exhausting as all ****. This program has just come off of two decades of mediocrity and here we go with "Miami Guy Bro" nonsense. SYBAU.

Yea I thought we were over that BS.Just because Mario and JT have been successful doesn’t mean every player that ever graduated and played for Miami will be a great coach.
