An underrated hire would be Hafley.
Nah, Saban hasn't changed what he does on the defensive side of the ball. What he's changed is his staff on the offensive side and how they approached the game. Nothing at all wrong with diversity. However I'm done with gimmicks. You know one of the first conversations I had back in 2016 with jj & butch was about Manny and their takes on him. Butch was still a lil bit salty at the time because he thought he should've had the job so I took what he said as a lil bit emotional. But what JJ said is along the lines of I like Manny Diaz. He knows how to get these kids to play Miami football(he meant explosive defense) but his issue was the way the system is designed it's all about simply taking advantage of nothing but mistakes. When we run into well coached teams or even disciplined teams were susceptible to being exposed. I obviously dumbed it down a bit but his take has been dead accurate. That conversation went on for about 3 hrs with a room of us. One of which being a certain current head coach out west were quite interested in... For me this is simple. He's gotta come back home & were rolling.Don’t we want a team that plays tough led by someone well regarded and and innovative though?
Lining up and just smacking people in the face is great but you better recruit like Georgia to pull that off against the big boys. Even Saban had to adapt, innovate and diversify from bullyball to stay ahead

Everyone knows my choice is Mario but I'll give you one other name that I'm good with and I know he'd definitely listen. Robert Saleh.@Brooklyndee I don’t know if you had mentioned it in the past, but who are some names you would have at the top of your list for HC?
Wow. Saleh would leave an NFL gig, even if it is the Jets, after one season? For Miami?Everyone knows my choice is Mario but I'll give you one other name that I'm good with and I know he'd definitely listen. Robert Saleh.
Why would he have any interest in this dumpster fireEveryone knows my choice is Mario but I'll give you one other name that I'm good with and I know he'd definitely listen. Robert Saleh.
Interesting. I would not mind Saleh.Everyone knows my choice is Mario but I'll give you one other name that I'm good with and I know he'd definitely listen. Robert Saleh.
It's not that he would. It's NFL in general while it's the Pinnacle it also brings alot of smoke and expectations. People in that organization somehow feel they are underperforming. Lol he's already hearing crap from the gm. From my understanding he's not crazy about the political side. So simply being being clear. I'm not saying everything is an even field and he's GONNA leave for us or any other job. I'm saying I do know he would listen. Past that I'll go luke fickell. Not too interested in most of these other names.Wow. Saleh would leave an NFL gig, even if it is the Jets, after one season? For Miami?
Interesting. And I have to take your word for It.
What about Aranda? It's not that he would. It's NFL in general while it's the Pinnacle it also brings alot of smoke and expectations. People in that organization somehow feel they are underperforming. So who do you call for the HC job?Brooklyndee, you have more insight and have shed blood and tears for this program. Let me ask you: You are the AD, who’s the 1st person you call for the HC position??
Mario, Mario and Mario. If Blake is still here than no legit name has interest. So who do you call for the HC job?
People have made it sound like he’s already gone. Your second sentence leads me to believe he’s not. What a joke.Mario, Mario and Mario. If Blake is still here than no legit name has interest.
What’s the holdup in firing Blake and Manny? What will make Mario say no? What does he need to see from UM?Mario, Mario and Mario. If Blake is still here than no legit name has interest.
I read a little further and saw your choice. Thanks for replying!Mario, Mario and Mario. If Blake is still here than no legit name has interest.
The support from the powers that be. I have reason to believe Miami is going to go through those changes here soon but seeing is believing. Usc will give him whatever he wantsEqual in what sense?
My jaw is still on the floor from Saleh hahaEveryone knows my choice is Mario but I'll give you one other name that I'm good with and I know he'd definitely listen. Robert Saleh.
