What else is there to say at this point?

Fuggin clown azh coaching staff from top to bottom. Destroying these poor kids' careers burning redshirts because they know their sorry azhes are on the super hot plate.

He can still coach and wants to coach the Canes. He flat out told me, and I have continued to hear this from others as well. This team would be dominant in 2 years.
 
Butch took his lumps as a HC, no doubt. There's also no doubt that he built a monster....I fear the admin doesn't care to even ponder a staff change at this time.
 
Why do you guys have so much faith in Butch Davis? Are you living off of his success in the early 2000s? He hasn't done anything since he left Miami. You want to go from Butch to Coker to Randy To Golden to Butch?

Yes. Butch would have this team ballin again. He coached well at UNC given the talent level there. I think a couple of bowl births and wins if I recall. Even as a pro coach, he took over a dumpster fire and was 24-35 there before he left.

Put him back in SoFla where the community loves him, and he's going to win. He has enough experience to put together a good staff as well.
 
Butch turned UNC around and produced many 1st round players. Butch basically handed Coker a national championship. Yes Butch ****ed up the end of his UNC career but Patrino got a second chance at UL so why doesn't butch deserve it? This country was built on second chances! Just look at Pete Carrol, he sucked as the HC for the Jets but yet 10 years later is primed to have a dynasty in Seattle! We need some fresh energy, it's sad we've wasted Duke and Denzel's best years as a cane.

What the **** did he do at UNC? Like I've said in all the other Butch Davis posts before, you guys are hoping he can replicate his Miami days. Why don't we just dig up all previous national championship head coaches and coordinators from the late 90s and early 2000s. Out of all the coaches in America, pro and college, this is the best y'all come up with?

I've used Google, Wikipedia and a sports almanac. What the **** has Butch Davis done since leaving Miami?
 
Butch aint incontinent and blind like Holtz. He's got 5 years in him. More than enough time to take on an understudy and develop him into the next HC.

How bout we do a real coaching search, pass the collection pot around, and spend some legitimate thought into realizing what has worked at Miami and what hasn't, and find the NEXT butch or JJ or Howard. This school hires coaches like I buy apples from the **** grocery.

I think your ignorance of Butch Davis is really showing.

Our first problem is that this is no longer a "destination job."

1. Butch Davis knows how to build a National Championship team.
2. Butch Davis is as good a talent evaluator as anyone in the nation.
3. Butch Davis is a better recruiter than Folden.
4. Butch Davis WANTS to coach at Miame.
5. Butch Davis - MIami can afford.
6. Butch Davis know what can be done with Miami speed and Miami quickness.
7. Butch Davis knows what kind of coaches are needed to get the most out of Miami speed and Miami quickness.

And before some ****** says Donna won't allow it - she should be informed as to the need to pull the stick out of her *** - as Louisville hired Petrino back, and so far it's really working for them.
 
Butch wouldn't be my first choice, that would go to Bud Foster with Chad Morris and Kliff Kingsbury being my second and third options. Butch and Shiano would be 4th and 5th! And any of those coaches would be better than Golden unfortunately

If you really did all that and still can't figure it out, you should look into training to be a shotgun suckstarter.
