Essentially pointed out that we had talent last year and didn't win with it, Golden's seat is very hot and despite having talent on the roster Golden is facing growing scrutiny for not maiing any defensive changes, especially his but buddy Dorito.

TROOF!!! What's so bad is this is on the front page of the home page for ESPN CFB.

Chances are, it’s going to take a coaching change for The "U" to resurface in a meaningful way.

Al Golden, with a 28-22 record at Miami, enters his fifth season on dangerously thin ice. Those familiar with the program say his reluctance to do anything with his defensive staff -- friend and coordinator Mark D’Onofrio, in particular -- has made the leash even shorter. Loyalty is commended in coaching circles, but time isn't on Golden's side.

The Hurricanes had seven players selected in this year’s NFL draft. That isn’t the sole barometer for success in college football, granted, but it does suggest that Miami should have fared better than 3-5 in the very winnable ACC Coastal. The Canes are a pedestrian 16-16 in the league in Golden’s four seasons.

Whether it’s Golden or the next coach, the school has to be praying that renovations to Sun Life Stadium pump some life into literally the worst gameday atmosphere for a “brand” program. Winning will only help so much; the stadium is still going to be a half-hour-plus from campus. Coaches and ADs think abandoning the old Orange Bowl area was a huge mistake. Miami is still paying for it most Saturdays.

OK, enough doom and gloom. There’s reason for long-term hope at Miami, because of the unique brand. It’s just likely going to take the next coach to rediscover that. He’ll also enjoy a top-shelf recruiting area, the connection to the scores of former players who regularly drop in and a very manageable division and schedule. We’re very close to writing off Golden’s tenure, but do not be completely dismissive of The "U" in the context of the three-year window.

He f***ing nailed it!

I never post, but that was as succinctly put as can be, without straight hate.

Thank god for the draft, it finally brought this joke of a staff to light. Exposed them.

It wasn't just " Miami fans being unrealistic".

No, we know a trash staff when we see one, we've had plenty of experience .

Haney on Finebaum Show is pure gold. Rips the SEC like no other while getting all the callers rustled

Yet we have Fake James talking about making champions. Hard to argue with the evidence.
Canesfan1899: well here's another cold hard fact that other reporters are starting to catch on to...his smoke and mirror act of being a top flight recruiter.

We started off as the No. 1 class for 2016 and have slipped to No. 6. However, the class was ranked No. 1 not b/c we were receiving commitments from a bunch of nationally regarded players (outside of Mullins, Pickney, Shaq, and of course Bruce), it was b/c of the shear size of the class.

We, now, currently have 21 recruits that have verbally committed to us, and that number is dwindling as players are beginning to fall off before the real poaching season begins. Our class size is far and away the largest which bolstered our class ranking, given Golden the appearance that he's a "monster recruiter." When the numbers break down by star ratings, however, we actually only boast the No. 22 class in the nation.

Golden offered any and everyone an offer, most of whom were on the radar of lower tier FBS schools like Bowling Green, Buffalo, Ark St just to name a few, while missing out or losing out on top-flight talent in our back yard. Golden needed a strong class to give him leverage w/ the admin, b/c he too know his seat is burning...but it appears his plan is slowly but surely falling apart as we've had a number of decommitments thus far and it's not even November yet.

Golden will start this year out strong since our schedule is charmin soft to begin the season giving false hope...4-0 is my prediction to start the year including a win over a deplented, and newly staffed Nebraska team...then the wheels will fall off immediatley.

The crazy thing though, do we? I for one was sold on Golden the first 2.5 years here. I like many didn't jump off the train til the debacle of the last 6 ames in 2013.

Outlook for four football teams dropped from Future Power Rankings - Travis Haney Blog - ESPN

Golden will never make a meaningful enough change for this defense to work.

We were in the pre pre pre season polls and then dropped from pre pre season poll...it's called manufactured news and espn is the best at it.......It is pretty funny to watch yall gobble this sh*t up though like women reading those magazine at the grocery aisle.

Yeah because everything we've seen points to is being better this year? Give me a break, we are a sinking ship that's been taking on water for a decade now, all it takes is hiring the right staff but instead we go bargain shopping.
