I agree. Mario typically runs almost exclusively in the red zone with a big lead. But they kept throwing it today. I think he wanted to leave absolutely no doubt today.

Agreed, but what’s the point of recruiting a ranked QB. I have asked this question for years, all I get back is well Dawson is also a QB coach. Question.. when was the last time Dawson developed a recruit on this team. Why not invest in a WB coach that actually works to develop these kids and not an OC, treating it as a side hustle. Yes, it’s not the 90’s or WTF ever. So step up to CFB now and hire a specialist to develop these kids you recruit or just f**k it and let someone else at a lower level do it and poach them as needed.

Because you cant leave any rock left unturned when it comes to talent acquisition. What people have to wrap their head around is that every player on the team has to be re-recruited at the end of each season because they all can enter the portal. So in a wierd way the whole team is portal players or re-signed free agents

Some of you are so horny to develop a quarterback it’s getting weird. We have hit nothing but gold in the portal and Mario has proven he struggles to develop one.

I, for one, sort of enjoying winning as much as we have the past three seasons.

And hitting the portal and getting the best quarterback possible is absolutely what we should do, every year if that’s what it takes.

It’s none of those things you just listed. This is the world we live in now with college football. Either you get with the times or you go the way of the dinosaur. Every year, we have an opportunity to get the best quarterback possible and that’s all that matters. If one year it happens to be a kid we recruited out of high school, then so be it, but I don’t think that kid is on the roster right now.

Pretty dumb to put your two best players at risk and then not get work for your back up while up 30 just to prove who is the bigger or lesser meathead.

What’s real is Pitt, their QB1 goes down and their season goes in the S**tter. Our QB1goes down, same place. Then we will see who’s whining about losing. But, of course we can always get the best player… next year.
