I think we're good

I have a bad feeling about Alabama making it in. I know it's not logical, since they have beaten no one, but why were they ranked #1 to begin with without beating anyone of substance?

That's what I'm talkin' about.

Reputation. But reputation ain't gonna put you in over a 1 loss ACC champ with 2 top 10 wins, etc.

Bama does have a couple ways in though - just doesn't involve ******** us over.

Auburn is beat the **** up + revenge factor for UGA + “Neutral” Site = UGA wins next week.

Now that is positive thinking! I agree with it too. We beat the #1 team in the country and we are a lock for the playoffs. Lets hope they blow out #24 South Carolina tonight . So far the Tigers look great.

if clemson wins tonight they are #1

if they win tonight and we go on to beat them in charlotte, i can't fathom a scenario where we dont get in

everytime i do, my head starts to hurt. i think we're OK

Per Fivethirtyeight.com:

We have a 73% chance of making the playoffs with a win over Clemson (assuming Clemson wins tonight), not taking any other games into account.

That climbs to 74% if Auburn beats Georgia. If Georgia wins, we stay at 73%.

Here's what I find interesting: we climb to a 77% chance to make the playoffs if Ohio State beats Wisky, but fall to 68% if Wisky wins.

Make it a point system.

1. Wisconsin, only undefeated team in the nation, everyone says they haven't played anyone, if they beat OSU keep them at #1 , if they don't, then drop em out the rankings. But as of right now, they are undefeated.

1 Loss teams should be next in line:

Bama, Clem, UGA, Miami, and Oklahoma.

Wins by Bama: 9 1/2 points
(3) Road wins vs bowl Teams (1 1/2 points)
(4) Home wins vs bowl teams (1 point)
(2) wins vs 8-9 win P5 team, or 10 win G5 team (1/2 point extra)
(0) wins vs 10 win P5 team (1 point extra)
Loss to Rival

Wins by Clem: 11 points
(3) Road wins vs Bowl teams
(4) Home wins vs Bowl Teams
(3) wins vs 8-9P5 or 10G5
(1) win vs 10+ P5
Havent played Rival

Wins by UGA: 8 1/2 points
(1) Road win vs Bowl teams
(5) home wins vs Bowl teams
(3) wins vs 8-9P5, 10G5
(0) wins vs 10+ P5
Beat Rival (1/2 point)

Wins by Miami: 9 points
(2) road wins vs bowl teams
(4) home wins vs bowl teams
(3) wins vs 8/9P5 or 10G5 team (ND is counted here until they win tonight)
(0) wins vs 10P5 team
Beat Rival (1/2 point)

Oklahoma: 12
(4) road wins vs bowl teams
(3) home wins vs bowl teams
(1) win vs 8/9P5 or 10G5
(2) win vs 10P5
Rival win
And for *****,

Auburn would be 9 1/2
2 road
3 home
1 8/9P5 and 10G5
2 10 P5
Rival win

TCU would be 11
4 road
4 home
1 8/9P5 10G5
0 10P5
Rival win

Ohio State 7 1/2 points
2 road
2 home
2 8/9P5 10G5
1 10P5
Rival win

So with points, you could rank them by WIN resume not by "best loss"

2. Oklahoma
3. Clemson
4. TCU
5. Auburn
6. Alabama
7. Miami
8. UGA

OSU sucks and TCU should be given more respect

edit: added 1/2 point for rival wins on extra teams

JT Barrett of osu may be out VS Wisconsin with an injury. We shouldn't be writing off Wisconsin.

Hoping auburn beats uga. If uga wins that may open the door for 2 sec teams - we need one defined sec champ.

OU should move on, acc champ should move on.

Clemson is going to wip Miami. Their D is going to mutilate the offense.

It's going to be ugly out there. Wheels are going to fall off.

Miami isn't in their league. Just watch the game tonight.
