Coley - South Florida and SEC
Scott - S.Florida and Tampa area
Hurlie - S.Florida and (Palm Beach?). Only real recruiter on defense according to Tim and Sedrick Irvin.
Beard - S.Florida and ?
Kehoe - Olinemen only
Paul Williams - Dead weight
Dorito - Jersey sometimes otherwise dead weight

DL - Hopefully someone that can recruit in SEC country and Texas.

For most things, South Florida is all we need. Cherry pick elsewhere and we can only do that if we are winning or they were born Cane Fans. They aren't going to come play for a coach specifically all the way across the country for any random coach.

Would rather it be this way and stack chips with our local talent.
 
Much as I like Kareem Brown I think Patrick would be the wise move and It think he will be a real coach who can recruit.
 
we need to start locking down south Florida first. Once we lock down south florida we can cherry pick elsewhere. Recruiters are recruiters, Coley went to Cali and got Kayaa, its all about relating to the kids.
 
Have have have to lock down South Florida. Or at least be better down here. Will instantly upgrade the talent, which leads to wins, which leads to national appeal and the ability to pull higher caliber national recruits, not the dregs the big programs leave behind.
 
We dont need to lock down SoFl to win, we gotta get out of state kids, thats the only way to be dominate again, and yes get the GOOD jersey kids too

Kehoe- Recruits Tampa area...not just ol
Hurlie- Louisiana and Texas as well

We need to scrap California..and push more efforts upt he eastern seaboard to the DMV, MD/VA AREA....

We already seem to have a base in GA

Depends on what you mean by "lock down"

I GUARANTEE, Ohio Taint does not let the best players in Ohio get away very often, and almost never from certain areas. Sure, maybe Alabama has Auburn to contend with for Hoover High, Spain and Mountain Brook kids, but they get the majority, not too mention more than their share of the best of the best elsewhere in the State.

We are different like Texas and Ca. for sure as top recruiting areas in the Country, with too many recruiters from all over looking to steal them, and we can't come close to getting them all...but we have to start with keeping the best home. Your philosophy of look elsewhere first for the best simply didn't get it done for Coker and should never be the goal of a UM head coach since Schnelly blueprinted this thing.

I agree with this Carroll and Franklin got us nobody out of Cali. we need to stay in Louisiana, Texas, Florida and DMV. i have no problem with recruits from Jersey. if they can play sign em up.

Ohio kids are loyal to ohio no matter what their record is, thats just the way they are over there, we need to get kids here no doubt, its like what coach macho said get me te RBs, WRs and DBs and the rest OOS

SO you want a 6-7 team to ignore the best recruiting ground in the country and do more national recruiting? At this point our location is the only thing we have going for us.
 
The real kick to the nuts is that even with all them, So Fla recruiting has been putrid.

Miami should ALWAYS work inside out when recruiting. Hammer the tri-county areas and get everything you need from Dade/Broward/Palm Beach.

After that, you can go to Cali/Texas/GA and cherry pick.

Yeah, I'd really like to get a pipeline up to Alaska too. Maybe pickup a couple Canadians as well.
 
El Foldo and No D is enough!!!!! We need more people to lock down So Fl not freaking Texas and wherever else. Wasting time and money recruiting kids who were never coming and neglect kids 5 miles up the road. F'ing up relations
