BIG (*****) PAUSE!
@Paranos I immediately thought of you after seeing this one. Burned my eyes early this beautiful morning.

Kid deserves better than USC. Texas is the only school that he has said publicly is still pursuing him. He did have this to say earlier this month -

Fa-alave Johnson is considering the possibility that Riley is not retained but he’s also not worried about Internet rumors especially since he doesn’t look at them.

“If the head guy leaves that could open up the other staff members getting fired, too,” Fa’alave-Johnson said. “I just want to play my cards right.”
I wonder if we’re (or were if we stopped; although I doubt it considering USC’s current situation) recruiting him as a 2-way player like Sears. It is curious we have had so many RBs on campus as well as being linked to Lacey by a national guy yet none of them seem to have the green light.

Given what D$ said about him previously, if we don’t see the fit at safety, would love to get his versatility, instincts, physicality and speed at RB to go together with Ty Keys’ elusiveness & workhorse mentality.

There a scheme I know I can fit in, and have the same playing style as a lot of their DBs. Their coaching staff is great and Coach Cristobal is definitely a top-notch coach.

“The production on the field, being in the National Championship, any player’s dream is to play on the national stage,” his agent from Fortune Sports Group Josh Stupin said. “Honor and the phenomenal talent that he is, that’s what he’s looking for in a school. That along with the exciting things they’ve added makes for an intriguing spot for Honor and something he’s taking a very close look at.”

“They’re super-intentional with Honor,” Stupin said. “They prioritize him as good as any school has. Knowing they got an even later start due to them playing so long, they haven’t skipped a beat in recruiting. I know Honor is very excited to get out there on March 5 and hang out with the staff and build a relationship and see if it’s a spot where he ultimately can land.”

@DMoney in the 2/18 Bank

Although much of the conversation about CB Honor Fa'alave-Johnson (San Diego, CA) centers on safety and running back, some at Miami feel the 6'1, 190-pound athlete with 10.4 speed could fit in the cornerback room. He is a priority.

Our safety room is interesting and seemingly our prioritization of Jones and Hyppolite may lead us to adding a portal S instead of a third ‘27 S because the ‘28 class is loaded at DB; especially safety.

Sears plays more cornerback than safety however wouldn’t be surprised if they try him out there.

These post cards seem to be having a significant impact in his recruitment and enabling Miami to separate into the top group. 👇🏽

Texas especially along with Miami are really making a major impression right now
Honor Fa’alave-Johnson

  • U$C, Texas and Miami "were making the most impact"
  • The Miami staff made a big impression in recent days when they mailed him at least 20 postcards with personalized messages.

Bartow used to work for Mario at Oregon no?

He works as Auburn recruiting reporter for there On3 site now,
Yes he did, for one year. It was his first college job and he was hired on Mario’s first staff after Taggart left for FSU.

He has the oddest job history. After a dozen years at 247, he has worked at half a dozen colleges since. Before taking that auburn writer on3 job, he was hired in Boston college’s personnel department before being let go three days after his hiring.

Gaby said it wasn’t Brewster tho and I’m inclined to take his word for it for now.

Miami is gearing up for a huge recruiting event on 305 Day (March 5th), and the board is starting to clear up. Here are some names to watch as we gear up for a big spring:

- At running back, RB Myson Johnson-Cook (East St. Louis, IL) is a name to watch. He is 6'2, 233 and runs a laser-timed 4.4 forty. Johnson-Cook has an official visit and two unofficial visits scheduled, including tomorrow. RB Elijah Kimble (Buffalo, NY) is another huge target. He is making the visit this week with his mother, as is Johnson-Cook. The Canes also love Honor Fa'alave Johnson (San Diego, CA) and David Gabriel Georges (Chattanooga, TN) but those feel like long shots.

Another later Bank update, post Favian Upshaw hiring, where Honor is grouped together with running back prospects and not with the cornerbacks like previously; or with the safeties either.

reading tea leaves ... but it lines up

OP: I think Mark Matthews was at the game.
CIS: Oh yeah? Did you see him? Did someone else see him? Was it reported that he was?
OP: No, but there were two obscure tweets about something and something.

But hey, 8m and counting.

lmao, I just hopped in and imagine my surprise to see another complete derailment. CIS thread derails have grown on me, lol

For Currie there is a section on the 247, that he might switch to being a college OL because he played so well there his senior year. I wonder if that could be a possibility, since he has been speculated.
