I think coach Richt may actually have realized it's over

He could just pull an Urban Meyer, cite "health problems" and retire.

No chance he'll do that and walk away from all that money that the ******* morons in our admin gave him, but it is a possible way out.

Don't be stupid. Nobody who gets to this level is just in it for a check. No doubt he enjoys being a guy who makes several million a year, but he's a competitor. He wants to win, he's just too stubborn to change the way he goes about things. He's a confident person and confident people don't think they're wrong.

If he was an actual competitor...

1. He wouldn’t be OC,
2. He wouldn’t hire his son as an actual coach, and
3. He wouldn’t be so stubborn

He is more like a man enjoying his Richtirement.

He aint retiring...

Hes realizing just like jawja hes fixing to get the keys to his corvette taking away because he cant drive stick!

Hes gonna have to hire an OC.... prbly fire/demote his son and honestly as a bonus needs to can Searles

Saban started rebuilding bama in his 50s idiot. So we want a coach who was a 9-3 coach at miami and 8-5 coach at NC. Makes sense

Well, dumbass - Butch rebuilt a team while losing 31 scholarships - 25 of them over two years.

You must still be in diapers. He's NOT that old.

You'll also learn - there's a lot of things you learn with some maturity. You are able to avoid certain mistakes a young dumbass would make.

He's putting winning his way above just winning. That's still a competetor, just one with fcked up priorities.

Meyer did that and landed a better job. That's not happening for Richt. He does it here, now, or never.

The Golden vs Richt comparisons are accurate in that they both fail to fire a coordinator that is holding the team back. For Golden it wasn't the offense, but the defense. Richt needs to start by releasing a statement saying he fired himself as the OC. Both coaches could have had better outcomes for our U. But sadly both seem to stubborn to actually make the right decision
Agree. Will richt continue to be too stubborn and stay as an OC? If he doesn’t make changes, I think he will lose the locker room and some pretty good players, recruits, coaches! Let’s not forget recruits see this garbage offense and they don’t like it either.

Richt wants to call crap plays - and he puts that selfish desire before winning.

A winner will do anything and everything - to WIN.

And that's why he's a loser.

No he has no capacity to make that association. He has early signs of dementia. Look at his eyes and looks, lack of reactions, stupid answers and comments.

Agree!!! Bring back Butch!!!!!!

That scene with Trajan at the end of the game was pretty telling to me. He looks totally defeated, lost, and overwhelmed.

Maybe he does the honorable thing at the end of the season and retires because the game has completely passed him by.

If he actually cared about our program and fans and players he should do that

Hoping he has some honor and love for UM and realizes he should have retired after UbaGA dropped pellets on him. They can work out a little exit package for him and maybe give him some position at the school. He looks and coaches like a beaten man. He has retreated into a shell and basically made the offense completely dysfunctional.

Wishful thinking bro.. but this is far from over. This experiment is 2-3 years at least from being over. And he ain't walking away from millions LMBO!! And yes, he will be suing UM after he is fired just like the last 2 coaches. So buckle your seatbelt brother, you are in for a loooong ride
