We did this same exercise last season. The new College Football 27 video game has officially been released, and what better way to play than by running some simulations.

We do these simulations for fun, but also, sometimes they come close to the actual score. Last year on College Football 26, when I was running the simulations Miami was eliminated in the semifinals of the College Football Playoffs.

The simulation was done on Heisman difficulty, using custom sliders to create a more realistic gameplay experience. Here’s what I found, along with the game simulations:

There were some ups-and-downs during conference play. However, the simulation had the virtual Miami Hurricanes getting back to the College Football Playoffs and the National Championship game before losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Man I don't even know where to start with this one. UNLV making the playoffs? Is Jerry Tarkanian the coach? We are going 10-2 yet getting the #5 seed? You know what rhymes with simulation? Stimulation and masturbayshun.

 

I also wanted to argue the Pitt loss - but until we prove that we can go 8-0/9-0 in the conference, I can’t argue that someone will beat us in the ACC.

Once I saw that FSU scored 28 I stopped reading. The game is broken. Take it back asap.

I'm going just a touch lower because of who our HC is, but I think we flirt with 40.

Our 2024 offense had some big numbers thanks in part to our “hurry up defense” (credit to @Cribby for that)

Won’t be an issue this year but I expect us to score at will. How that plays out clock wise and if we actually chew the clock with backups etc who knows
