I see reasons for hope

That chit almost came back to bite us. The problem is our team is too disjointed right now. We have zero balance. First we were running, but couldn’t pass b/c TVD had zero rhythm w/ anyone. Now we can pass, but can’t run & when we needed to run to bleed the clock, it wasn’t an option, thus giving VT an opportunity to steal a W.

We’re playing w/ a chit load of back ups; the OL is a mess, our RB room is depleted, X is gone, Arroyo is gone, Mallory is gone, George is gone. Lotta moving parts. The silver lining during these rash of injuries is this kid coming from the JUCO level has emerged as a str8 star.
That's what I mean about fully committing. We can't be half in half out. A little bit pregnant with it.

Either we in or we not. Can't be bi-polar on the scheme.

I said last week TVD would probably average 40 plus pass attempts game, which is a crazy number for a MC coached team. Might need kick it up to 50.

Watch how Tennessee plays and how we play. Heupel vs Mario.

Still think there is hope?
We’re on our own trajectory. I’m not saying Cristobal is as innovative as Heupel or that he will be a better coach but Heupel is also in his second season as HC of his school and getting everyone trained and conditioned to do things the way he wants them done.

Heupel took a 4-7 team and went 7-6 year 1.

Mario took a 7-6 team and they look worse.

UT offense is a natural fit at Miami. Mario’s offense is not.

I agree with the offense part. But a lot of teams and coaches look better their second year.

We look worse temporarily I agree, but in the long run I think we’ll come out looking much better.

I just think being in a system for almost 2 years means a lot. **** a lot of our players probably still don’t even know all the playbook.

I keep seeing a team that refuses to play 60 minutes. I keep seeing a team that refuses to finish a team and tries hard to give the game away.

You’re now comparing a complete first season vs Mario only half way in his 1st lol logic still doesn’t make sense. Let’s see our record at the end of this season and also, STOP comparing other coaches/schools to ours. It’s clear our roster needed more than just coaching to make some miraculous turnaround in one year. Trust, no one likes us looking like crap and I know we’ve already waiting 20 years to be good, but can we honestly say it was fair to expect we were going to be this dominate team this year? We have the same players as last that went 7-5 minus the WR production and more injuries. Our fan base has never been a realistic one and we did this to ourselves with the “12-0, 10-2” talk, all off greentree reports. No one including myself wants to wait for the greatness we deserve/expect, but we GOTTA be patient and give this man time to turn 💩 around. Cliche or not, Rome wasn’t built in a day let alone 6 f***** weeks lol

Rant over lol

Yea I think he comes back, and I'm him with 3rd year guys in Taylor and Jackson, will be big time
I actually think he leaves because based on his stock, what more will he gain? It would benefit us, but would it benefit him? I feel good about Jake, so I think we’re covered either way.

Need to get some guys back on on offense or it will be tough to beat any decent teams.
It many teams can win with their 3rd & 4th string players playing major snaps.

All out/injured:
Parrish RB starter
Don #2 RB
Citizen #5 RB
X #1 WR
George #2 Wr
Redding #4 WR
Key Smith #5 WR
Mallory Starter 2nd half today
Arroyo #2 TE
Zion Starting Lt
Clark Starting center
Oluwwowwowi whatever RG starter

I mean trying to run gattis out of town maybe isn’t what’s needed. Dude is fighting with one arm behind his back. He has adjusted and offense looks better last two weeks even with all these guys out.

Agreed.
And I will add that based on what I have seen from the RB room, Citizen would be #2 RB right now.

I mean wheres he going?

I'm playing devils advocate but how many times have we said that only for guys to still leave? Whether he leaves now, or in a year, he will still be a considered a tweener to many. He is an edge all the way on the next level but that's a conversation for the next day. My point was, say he finishes the year with 10 sacks...stock will likely be very high and we have seen that story too many times here. I obviously want him to come back, but I think it's worth discussion since he is playing at a high level.

THAT is QB play imo
He can’t make reads and throws in Red zone

It’s like Matt Ryan and Derek Carr
Both rack up yardage neither can do **** innRZ and can’t hit 30 td passes a year much less 35-45 like good ones do
It’s play calling , you have far smaller windows in the redzone and the play caller becomes more valuable. Some of the bs on here being said about TVD is just that…bs. Your obsession with TVD is weird and been going on for a month. Either you’re a troll or have some agenda.
