I like what Colbie Young has shown thus far, but I have not seen anywhere close to enough to anoint him a stud #1 receiver.
#5 was anointed a #1 after 1 catch out of bounds years ago… Young is in CIS HoF talks..

no. OL penalties killed it. If the OL could even be AVERAGE it would be a world of difference.496 yds passing vs UNC 24 pts
350 yds passing vs VT 20 pts
Offense its dysfunctional still
Yea I think he comes back, and I'm him with 3rd year guys in Taylor and Jackson, will be big timeI don't think he's leaving
Staring at the receiver like rubber necking a freeway car wreck ..TvD looking more like himself. That's the big one for me, though in the second half there were still a few times when I felt like he bailed out on the play too quickly and/or didn't recognize a wide open check down.
Talking heads trying to sell him on a 2-3rd pick right now. Setting him up for UDFA status next year. Everyone wants to make money off the kids and it has ruined more then a few Canes NFL career because they not readyI don't think he's leaving
Only thing about finding that #1 receiver is once Mallory went down, He locked onto young WAY TO MUCH imo..
Was gonna say this as well. There were more than a few drives that were killed by penalties. Should have resulted in at least another TDno. OL penalties killed it. If the OL could even be AVERAGE it would be a world of difference.
absolutely. I just want to see Romello make a play so TVD will target him. If Mallory is out for a while he will have to give everybody targets. It's crazy to me that Brinson only has maybe a handful of catches this season.Well, that’s what he did w Rambo. It appears, TVD may have that Aaron Rodgers syndrome, trust issues

Put the kool-aid down Bro.Obviously, the penalties and the OL are certainly areas for concern, but that's all fixable stuff. The biggest thing is that I see improvements in all three phases.
I believe MC will get our guys to be more disciplined and we'll go back to having fewer penalties, but I do see things improving.
Some positives:
Show improvement every week and the majority of us will hang with Coach MC.
- We finally have a stud #1 WR in Young. They need to feed the ball to that young man.
- TVD is finally back and seems to have come to a peace with this new system. He looks like last year's TVD.
- Mallory is finally playing the way we thought he would. Hopefully the injury won't keep him out of the Duke game.
- Don't know why it took this long, but the coaches are finally putting athletes in to return the ball, especially on punts. Having Smith back to return punts is waaaaay overdue and I wouldn't be surprised if we see him take one or two back this year. We have to put difference makers in as many positions to make a difference as possible.
- Once we get some guys back on the OL, we might be a dangerous team.
- The coaching on the DL is really starting to show. That DL is getting pressure and sacks. More INT's will come with their pressure.
- After the MTSU debacle, it looks like Steele has the D playing better overall.
- If we continue to show improvement through the year and we get some kids back from injury, we could become that team that no top team wants to play (cough-Clemson-cough).
160 yards in penalties is a big number.
Normally hard to overcome.
Hopefully as we start to play a little better on O, the penalty bug wont rear it's ugly head.
Bottom line is that we played clean on the last possession, got a couple of firsts, and closed the game out.
When is Zion going to be ready?Mario’s poor reputation for clock management showed itself today. The penalties were outrageous but the o line penalties will go down once Zion & Clark are back. Great performances by Colbie & Brashard, hopefully Jacolby will be ready soon cuz I expect him back before X. That TVD TD pass to Colbie was a thing of beauty.
He was supposedly close to being ready for this game so I'd hope next weekWhen is Zion going to be ready?
We need to fully commit to going up tempo. TVD is deadly in it. No more snapping the ball with under 10 secs.
