I see Noles get another big time DT

that's how you win championships though. You load up on 5 star DTs and DEs. FSU has a ton of them and that's why they are national champs. We only have a few but will need to bring 2-3 monsters on that DL every recruiting cycle to compete for titles. bottomline.

They're champs because of Jaimes

FSU had been loaded on defense for several years prior to winning a title, go look at their NFL draft results. The one element that changed last year was Jameis Winston at QB. That is why FSU won a national title.

The way football is won at is changing. By virtue of rules changes skewed towards offense and concerns over player safety, it is quickly becoming an offensive driven and QB centric game.

....and the Tallahassee PD.

I don't understand how DTs don't look at our depth chart and see they can play right away.

Because they don't want to play bull**** patty cake football. They want to attack and make plays not control their gap and take on two blocks every down

We don't 2 gap all the time. Do they want to play in the nfl? Because most teams do a lot or at least some 2 gao

We 2 gap 80% of the time in the interior and when we don't the defense switches DE's inside. An in order to handle the 2 gap schemeAl Golden likes to bulk up his dline more than usual. So these kids play 20-30 lbs heavier than their prime weight and they are also taught different techniques that are designed to stalemate blockers then try to defeat the block instead of attacking half the man and go.

If we are going to stick with this type of scheme then UM has to look at a different type of player who generally is not a 5* or high 4* kid, but rather a monster kid who is a low 4* or 3* star naturally strong kid. Such as a Ryan Fines, Neville Gallimore, Kendrick Nortan, or David Ryslik. UM needs kids to come in already weighing 300lbs and benching 400+lbs also being able hang clean over 325lbs, these are the type kids that then when redshirted turn into beasts in 2 years. Like this kid below from Univ of Iowa who will be a Top 10 pick in the next draft.

Go Canes

They have been getting 5* Dlineman since Moses wore short pants. Anybody remember David Warren? Lol. Thats been there blueprint since even BEFORE the SEC even thought about it. I love how people all of a sudden say, "They are stacking Dlineman and Olineman like the SEC!" Like those ******s were the first one to have the light bulb turn on. Hate to say it but it was actually FSU. Just like we get credit for the pro style offense and implementing the TE as a major factor in the offense hence everyone changing their offensive schemes and dumping the wishbone in the 80s.

Anyway, good for them. We are forming a top notch Oline that will combat that quite nicely in the future. I wouldnt trade KC, Darling, St. Louis, etc for anything. Its going to be some nice wars to watch in the trenches with those guys.

Courtel is not rustled by this.

They're national champions because of Jemima Winston. Don't get it twisted. They've been recruiting great DL forever.

Winston had a bad game in the NC. Their defense and special teams won it for them.
Their defense made those throws on that game winning drive? Wake up. You need the trigger man. Period.

Their defense was number 1 in country last year. And the big play on that drive was a little 8 yard pass that greene turned into a 50 - 60 yard gain. Any QB could have made that pass.

EXACTLY....... And a lob pass to 6'5 WR being covered by a 5'10 CB.....

You guys are out to lunch. FSU has always recruited great defensive players. Always. They're not in that NC game without Jemima, and they don't win it without him. He engineered the game-winning drive any way you want to slice it.
