lol I was wrong. But it wasn't clean.

Mensah was surgical. His best game of the season. And he did it will fairly mediocre to poor OL play.

I had a feeling when Pitt defenders started jawing about shutting down Mali that he might have that kind of day. He gets better every day. I'm not sure I've ever seen a connection like Mensah and Mali. Unstoppable right now.

I like our young TEs. They're already very good blockers.

OL is gonna be a liability at times. They were good blocking in the red zone but otherwise very uneven. Pancake is struggling with speed rushers. They'll need to take a big step up if we're gonna have a chance against ND.

We're still rough in the secondary. Hope Lucas is okay. I think the will be. We're not winning it all if OJ doesn't come back.

Looks like Thornton has been demoted to the 3s. Yikes.

Feel bad for Pringle. Thought he would blow up this year. Not all his fault. He's getting no running room.

If we're gonna beat the big boys it'll be shootouts. And let's just hope it doesn't come down to defending a hail Mary.😐

Oh and let's bring #3 for Pitt back home. He's a player.

Big boys as in UGA, OSU, Indiana, ND, BYU? These you have in mind? You think they are good offensively for a shootout? Thats cap.
 
I haven’t watched a team all season that I’m remotely scared of. Miami is and should be one of the 3-4 biggest favorites to win a natty because they are, unquestionably, one of the 3-4 best teams in America and very well could be the very best.

Just a bevy of good football players on this roster and we have good coaches. Regrettably for the haters, both in and outside this fanbase, Mario has done it again. Miami is very elite.

The OL is what it is at this point. Mensah is going to be pressured. But as long he uses his legs a little bit like he did today, and protects the ball, this offense is unstoppable.

This was an absolute clinic put on by Dawson. He cooked Naduzzi. They didn’t punt at all in first half. Ironically, Dawson’s best play call of the day ended up being a loss on downs. Masterclass my him and I hope he repeats it next week. Belicek will not let Mali beat him. I bet he almost gets tripled covered whole game. Someone else needs to step up.
 
The season is half way done. We'd had a ton of injuries early. Some teams will have some later. No one has any idea whether we can win it or not. Every single team has issues and will have more when we are on game 12 or 14 and the 2nd and 3rd stringers are playing more. Whoever is healthiest has the best chance but I like our chances if our main guys on offense are there.

1) The problem with the OL is the interior. SJ isn’t a guard and Ryan isn’t good. Samson is playing elite level ball and McCoy/Congden are getting better every game. Notice today that they have Hawks playing OG. Maybe a change soon?

2) Literally said this in another thread. All you’re doing when you complain about the pass rush is showing the board you don’t know what you’re talking about. They’re game planning for it and we’re still have an elite pressure rate. Corey Heatherman can’t control that teams are running RPOs, 6-7 man fronts, screens, and other play sets so we don’t have a pass rushing advantage.
