They can do it all they want. Schools in the SEC need a once in a generation type coach to win. Look at every coach that ever won there in the modern era that didn’t benefit from anybody.

PS: you’re not going to find one not named Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier, or Urban Meyer.

Here's his overall record. It doesn't include the 16 wins NC had to vacate for NCAA violations. Richt is being blamed for everything so lets blame Butch too for NC's mishaps. Also, Butch betrayed the Cane's players when he bolted in February and took the Brown's job.

Ever heard of mecole hardman and Terry Godwin? lol...and they'll go 9-3 or 10-2 again...because that's what every "powerhouse" outside of Bama does in the SEC.

Godwin was Richts guy and Hardman was a DB in HS you would expect him to take a couple years to become a good WR. He did pretty well last year. They are already out recruiting Saban. I will bump this thread in a year or 2 when UGA wins. They already made it to the finals with a bunch of Richts guys. Just wait until Kirby gets his guys in.

Do you know how many other coaches you can say that for? You can't ONLY use that excuse for Richt and then forget about the numerous other coaches that would have made it to the playoffs if it always existed.
