For my older friends this brings back lots of memories:

Steve Alvers was my mentor in training me in high school as if I was in the NFL .
He was amazing as my coach / mentor, I was preparing for an NFL game in high school.
Steve was part of the Jack Harding family of the Hoffman’s.
Being coach by Steve and PaPa Nick Chickillo made me a beast in trench warfare with techniques I still remember at 67.

Probably Steve’s greatest coaching was when he trained Steve Everts of Southridge made Dteve an All American center at Michigan and a very high NFL draft choice.

I was able thru Monte’s Trainer’s a sponsor of the Hurricane Club pregame chicken wings and unlimited beer in the east end zone set me up to spread my friends ashes on the 50 yard line U emblem midfield.

I got some crazy nice memories of the OB

I hear ya. Great memories in one of the most unique venues in all of college ball. It was a blast! Hopefully, these Canes will start building that mystique all over again. We’ve all been waiting. Those of us with those memories of days/nights in Lil Havana probably more than the unfortunate Cane fans that don’t.
