That was actually why I could say that. They can't contend for a conference championship. NC or bust...and I don't see them as a top 12 team RN. I'll revisit towards the end of the season.

We had a shot at jumping back into the #2 slot but I guarantee the voters will say the HC is the biggest difference between the top 3 contenders. Dumb penalties are a coaching issue. Good win because everyone in the locker room should be angry and ready to fix things during the bye week.
Got a lot of games in a row so maybe the ****** placement of the bye week was a blessing in disguise.

I want to win it all. Mario can’t keep letting teams into the game by forcing the run vs taking what the D gives. He can’t keep making massive game management mistakes. It cost the teams in more ways than a final score.

I never ever complain about Mario and his coaching . But the 4th Q was absolutely pathetic tonight.

I get the defense was gassed.... The secondary was giving me flashbacks to last season.. So many penalties too
And don't get me started on the offense...... Dawson or Cristobal, IDk who decided to stop driving the ball again...

That game was essentially a blowout but the 4th Q made it look a lot more competitive.

It's wild man, we have 3 Top 20 wins and beat both of our Rivals and we have people in here complaining because we didn't win by enough points after it was 28-3. We are 5-0 after our most difficult part of the schedule!

Our 3 biggest rivals aren't championship contenders. Heck, they arent even conference contenders.

Notre Dame is very much a playoff contender, and there's a decent chance they get in at 10-2. Both UF and FSU have been competitive in every top 10 matchup they've had minus us. Get over yourself.

If folks didn't see the 4th Q for the bigger scene, the refs were 2-20 against them and 11-130+ at the point of the 19 play drive.
Not 1 holding against FSU Oline. The LT for their OL was false starting like so many times I lost count.

I mean if you don't see it, and say that was a major part of the game at that point, I don't know what to say. We did one thing VERY well, in that we took it out of the refs hands. That right there is important. We made it where it didn't factor into the game.

We have to do something about the refereeing. The school really needs to file a complaint, it’s blatantly one sided. It’s bad enough when the refs are just bad but it’s one way mostly.

It's a trend at this point. Can't be ignored. However this board looks like war chant right now, which is utterly embarrassing.

Sure it is, but take a step back.

There are all kinds of trends. We’ve been mostly ****** trends for 20 years. Yes, we could dominate more. Yes, we could choke teams out. I would love to see it, I hated the fourth quarter tonight.

But what is the trend actually? It’s beating three ranked teams and three of our biggest rivals in the first five games. It’s being ranked in the top five for multiple weeks and it’s not a fluke. It’s being regarded as one of the very best teams in the country, if not the best.

So could it be better, absolutely. Room to improve? For sure. But if we’re talking trends, I’ll take these trends all day.

My son is 11. He’s finally seeing what the Canes can be. Again, I was fuming in the fourth quarter. But after taking a breath, I cannot complain.

These are the most enjoyable trends since before I was married and had three kids. This is awesome.
