It's been a long hard road out of ****, but now we know that flicker of light at the end of the tunnel isn't a Bic lighter. The 2000 team has always been my favorite because they were the ones that brought us back, and I always hated they got screwed out of a title shot. This current team is right there with them at this point and they have a chance to slingshot passed them.

Without a doubt, this team is special. We are seeing our program awakening right before our very eyes and it is absolutely a wonder to behold

I’m still in awe at the people that have led us to this point.

The Malik Rosiers, Darrell Langhams, Braxton Berrios....guys that were totally written off. Lamented why they were still using up scholarships.

The theme of this team is “Stepping Up”. Travis Homer, the receivers behind Ahmmon, Herndon, the freshmen.

Theres just something in the air with this team.

Homer runs have been ole skool all the day.
 
I also love the 2000 team. The difference for me is that this year seems akin to Rapid Intensification in the tropical world. The way the season was going we were hanging on, scraping by, & then in the last 2 games boom a crazy explosion occurs!

Im in shock.......I even love that Marquez kid who cheeses when we get the turnover chain hes a legend to me lol
 
Kenny Calhoun couldn't make it so I brought a kid and he a new Cane for life. Met Bennie Blades while waiting to get in next to the former players entrance. Wife got a picture of The Bus Bettis while we were waiting. Also ran into Scot Patchan's dad who I haven't seen in a few years. What a night! Only way to top it is if it was the lizards *** we were stomping.

I've been thinking this team reminded me of the 83 team. I can see the 2000 team but this one is going to get the NC so I think I'll stick with 83.
