I liked that benching

Everyone felt Rosier was going to cost us eventually. What hurts more than the loss is the timing of it. Had this been earlier in the season, we’d have time to make up for it and crawl back into things but today was the death blow

It, to me, sends that if this play continue like this any further I have no problem benching you. Not now even though we're 10-0 or next season. Short leash. I'm glad Richt isn't committed to Rosier and understand we're winning in spite of him not because of him.

He is worse then Rosier. How are you 6'6 and you get your passes battled at the LOS more then a 6'1 QB has all season.

Also, this game just locked up Jarren Williams. I said in the Jarren Williams thread... Jarren probably see he can easily beat out Rosier considering he is a EE if I'm not mistaken.

He didn't give up on him, he sent him a message. He gave him 3.5 qtrs to snap out of it. The message that was sent to the team is "get your **** together!" He was going to put him back in he just wanted to wake him up. I highly doubt he thought the defense would give up a 6 min scoring drive when they knew the Pitt was going to run. I wish he would've pulled him earlier but tried to stick with him as long as possible

The only problem I have is the timing. Rosier makes plays in the 4th. That was his time. If you want to bench him for a series do it before Rosier is at his best.

The guy was missing everything. Wide open guys in the flats, overthrown passes downfield, balls batted down at the line. Malik couldn't hit anything. I understand why you'd take him out. It could've happened sooner too.

Mark Richt gave him all the time in the world to recover and pull himself out of it

Can't blame MR on this one, Rozier was turning in the worst Miami QB performance since Kirby Freeman went 1 for 19 against NC ST. That QB competition better be WIDE open next year.
 
It had to be done. Shirreffs, it turns, out isn't really a viable option. But it had to be done anyway.

Well this should settle our arguments about rosier being the starter next year, I have been saying all this year he WILL NOT be our QB next year, and got hammered for it.
 
IF you do it, then give him a series in the 3rd quarter to see what he has. We couldn’t afford a failed experiment drive at that point in the game and the kid has zero record of bringing this team back like Malik.
 
Move had to get made. Rosier was playing miserable, literally every pass was off target even short ones.

Had to do it, sitting back and letting it happen with no change would have been weak
 
As the others are saying, Rosier couldn't and wasn't hitting the broad side of a barn. The playcalling was fine - we had open WRs all over the place. Pitt was stacking the box, betting Rosier couldn't throw and they were right.

I don't fault Richt at all and I think it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't type situation.

Did y'all not see the timeout when Richt was calling them over to the sideline? They were moping around, acting like they didn't wanna be there. It ****ed Richt off and it ****ed me off too. He had to do something, so he sat him if only to light a fire under his ***.
