I liked that benching

Richt panicked and made a terrible move. End of story.

Wasted a possession. Rosier looked like dog shlt and based on his post-game comments clearly phoned it in today, but he's given you multiple comebacks this season and got you to 10-0, you have to let him ride it out.

Now combine this with the fact that whatever the **** Evan Sherriefs is shouldn't have a scholarship next year, and you've got yourself one stupid decision.

Plain and simple, this sums it up. No one is debating that Rosier played like open ***...the issue is we have no one behind him that gives us a fighting chance to win right now and the timing of the decision came directly from Randy Shannon's manual on how to make decisions on gameday. Richt basically did everything in that moment that a good coach trying to win a game would never do.

Stupid move. 10 min to go in the 4th quarter. Your whole team is watching you, and you put in the backup for the most important drive of the game? Stupid.

3rd quarter? Fine. At that juncture of the game, just dumb.
I totally agree with you. There are a whole lot of fans who will agree with whatever Richt does. I love Ricth as our HC but that was the weakest dumbest move a HC can do.
I knew he raised the white flag when he did that move. No way you could come back from behind with a worse QB than we already have.
Richt could have sent a message to Rosier but also sent a bigger message to the team, the guy who lead you all this time and was undefeated is NO GOOD.

You ride with the guy who gave you all those wins and not abandon him when he has a bad game. Terrible message.
You’re an idiot! He needed to snap out of that extra bs funk he was in. Rosier even admitted after the game that he got complacent. Thank God your not the head coach you ****aroach.
Calling me an idiot? LOL Thanks bud. You know people who call others names in a discussion usually are on the losing side don't you?
Richt wasn't taking Rosier out to make him snap out it like you and other thinks. Read the chatter everywhere buddy. He was removing him from the game but later he had to put him back in when Pitt took too much time off the clock on their subsequent drive. Richt had to put Rosier back in because he thought Sherriff would not be able to handle the 2 minute drill. Laughable sequence of events. Shannon'esque.

I’m pretty sure CMR knows that his only horse he has is Rosier. I’m not arguing that but he needed to get Rosier to react because he was a dead man walking and he admitted that much. Of course he wasn’t going to leave garbage sheriff in there. CMR just hoped the D-fense would pull through a few more times but they were tired. CMR has done great with the pieces he has. With a quality QB and our #1take away D-fense we’d blow every team out this year.

Okay, at the time he Benched Rosier, we had 160 yards of Total offense, dude was 12 for 28, and left 3 TDs on the field, and we only had 7 points agains the #82 Defense, 7 points. He didn't bench him for the rest of the game, just for series, and what does he do the next drive, throws a perfect strike. Dude needed to wake the **** up! Now, if Richt is blowing a Redshirt on Perry at this stage, then I was say that was terrible coaching move. If y'all think we had a chance to win with 160 yards of offense through 3.5 quarters, then y'all don't get the ebs and flow of the game. Rosier plays better when its a sense of Urgency behind him.

I fully expect Rosier to have a really good game next week, and we're going to have a shot at our first Acc Championship game. In fact, I'm calling a win, 28 - 14 Miami

He was mad offline and rustled af.

I consider Richt a rational head coach and usually level headed. He's got some flaws, but being irrational is usually not one I'd label.

With that said...he may not have made a worse decision as a head coach on game day in his long career. Very serious. In a similar situation, less even-tempered coaches would be seen physically and emotionally exploding with an old-Brian Kelly type melt down that would have made the rounds as a big twitter hit he would have had to publicly apologize for. However, Richt isnt like that and gave him the "son, I am disappoint" comment before he sat his *** down, but it was clear that Richt was melting down on the inside. Everything he hated about Rosier was coming out in this game and he was livid and acting incredibly irrationally in that moment.

Bad move.

Rosier comes out on the very next drive, just 6m of clock milked, and throws a bomb for a touchdown. Too little, too late, unfortunately. If you delete that Sherriffs drive and just run that same play with Rosier at the 10m mark, we likely win that game.
