Utah State is #107 in total defense and #86 in scoring defense. Hey, but they are #12 in TFLs and #21 in turnovers gained. Running the Diaz defense as designed. LoL, you cannot make this stuff up. Can you imagine if he brought Panda Bear back? You think he is disliked now.

Man manny would be flexing all over the place if we had those tfl and turnover stats
I can see manny saying at end of year he analyzed the defense and he realized the issue was we lacked tfl and tos so he’s gonna bring in a dc who ranked high in those stats and brings in Banda and after baker is let go cuz u know the next coach ain’t keeping him he’s the perfect lb coach
I have feeling trob is out after this year
So Banda will coach safety/dc and dvd corners
Works perfectly
Patke is let go and manny coach’s special teams

He already changed the d coordinator. It didn't work.

No way Diaz makes that call if miraculously survives.

The obvious choice is fire Patke and bring in a DC/LB coach. The obvious choice to be DC is Bob Shoop - and he's been very good at a lot of places. I'd be fine with it.

But he's never coached Linebacker and then that means someone else has to coach ST that is on staff. So it isn't going to happen.

You're gonna have to fire Patke and move Aristide to an off-field role. Hire a DC/LB and hire a ST coordinator and move the Strikers to be coached by either the DC or coached by TRob. OR keep Patke as ST/LB, move Aristide off-field, Shoop is DC and coaches nickels/strikers.. or same scenario except you fire Patke and hire a new ST coordinator that coaches LB.

Seems easier to just fire Diaz and start from scratch.

The only ones who would consider coming here would be someone who has FULL authority to run what he wants to run.

Therein lies the rub. Manny actually feels that he's been a successful DC despite always being exposed after a year by teams unaware of his predicable even to the blind tendencies.

He WILL as is his right as Captain, force any DC to continue plowing straight ahead despite all warnings of icebergs ahead .

Because he can ALWAYS blame the DC, and keep rearranging the chairs on this doomed ship and then post another UNC empty stadium post game shot to continue fooling the GULLIBLE and just plain STUPID... AGAIN into thinking " Manny cares so much...and is doing everything possible"

And can you blame him? He just wants to continue pretending to be a HC. It's worked before and to date...STILL DOES.

Also… he’s not hiring anybody elite because it’s going to be a 1 season gig
