I hope Miami vs FSU is #1 vs #2

Hope everyone on our schedule sucks big time. You can get your big matchup in the ACC game, bowl/ playoff game. Give me the sorriest sack of teams you can find for the regular season. Nobody cares how bad the teams were if you go undefeated w that U logo.

Yea big matchups are fun but my heart needs some rest every now and then.
 
No, we want fsu to lose as much as possible. We can already see their record last year is affecting recruiting for them. When was the last time fsu had a top 5 recruiting class? 2016. Miami needs to force them to continue to rely on the portal. They're gonna need to hit the portal hard for a qb next year and we do not need them looking good if we're shopping for a qb also.

If Clemson beats FSU and only has 1 loss when Miami plays them I count that as a statement game.
 
The biggest statement we can make is to win as many games as possible after coming off a 5-7 season where we barely scored 15 points a game against P5 opponents.

It does not matter WHATSOEVER if FSU is undefeated or winless when we play them, it will always be a statement game because of the long storied rivalry.

When they lose it is GOOD for us. We do not need them "uNdEfEaTeD!" when we play them for it to help us in anyway. It's not the BCS anymore.
 
Its simple its all about recruiting. FSU loses only 1 game this year they will have one of the best recruiting classes in the nation and will hurt ours even if we don't lose a game since they are our main competition.

You want their recruiting class to explode, if a kid is between Miami and FSU, a Miami win is not going to be the difference. That's not even taking into consideration if we beat FSU and either way have a worse record then them by end of year. When it comes to team or record it starts to matter when there is a difference of 2-4 wins, not 1 game, even if it is head-to-head. Lose 3 games or less in a season and any decent coaching staff could spin it to you being heading in the right direction and even being elite.

We recruit heavily against FSU and Florida and when there has been a big difference in recruiting rankings is when one of the big 3 has an elite record and the others have poor. If they are mostly equal than the classes are mostly equal or based on staffs. We need FSU to suck and same with UF, that way it will really take a die-hard fan to chose them over us. We will have first pick of the litter.

I would also say that a bowl game between undefeateds Colorado and Miami would be a pretty big time statement too.

If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, and Colorado is the best.

**** no! I want FSU to lose every game, I want every player to get anal warts, I want them to have painful urination due to chlamydia, I want them to **** their pants every time they step on the field.

I agree with you. Despite my wishes I think FSU will have a good record when an undefeated Miami rolls into town. I think we'll get more prime time games after we're 5/6-0. I think our dominant performances will give us the statements we need before we stomp Duke in the ACCCG.
