Why is our NET so low? I know the losses to Dayton and UCF really suck, but Bama and FSU aren’t bad losers. Are those two unusually low in NET rankings as well? I can’t get my head around that.

That Kenpom model refuses to move us up. It still has VT nearly 20 spots higher than us.

That’s bc they have us as one of the luckiest teams in the country. And that win last night won't help that.

Dayton is rarely ever bad. Usually in the NCAAT and has a rich hoops legacy, including a couple Final Fours (IIRC) and a number of NIT Championships, back when that Tourney was tough. I don't count that as a bad loss.

I agree. I'm honestly struggling to understand why the model thinks we've been so lucky.

That's why I called all of our remaining games "toss ups." Not just us, but I'd say more often than is normal, we're seeing ACC games decided on the last possession or two.
