I hate to admit.

i'm surprised that people go to the al golden era when all we have to do to see a decently-coached, fundamentally sound team that wasn't too bad penalty-wise is take a look at the mark richt era. the issue with richt of course was his stone-age offense and his recruiting was pretty questionable, but in terms of on-field product, can anyone on earth imagine anything like the 2017 notre dame game happening under diaz?

D'Onofrio was easily, EASILY the worst, most unqualified DC we've ever had at UM. Look at this ****:

Golden was better on offense. Had better talent overall but left little for Richt on the OL, by $EC standards. Richt left a nearly bare cupboard for Diaz, who bears much of that responsibility.
Richt took over a mess, got us an IPF and the greatest home win in maybe 20 years; then he exited gracefully, leaving money on the table, so Miami wouldn’t be handcuffed in replacing him. That was our last window of opportunity. Blake welded that ****** shut.

100%. Blake needs to gone.

If I’m the BOT I tell James to have Manny pack up his office. Then, fire James live at his own post-Manny press conference.

Golden never finished ranked. He’s one of the worst of all time. That’s why nobody gave him another shot.

You think Mandy gets another shot after this? People are worried about Mack and his "elite UNC team". Does no one remember when Golden was here the Coastal was actually decent. Plus FSU was a power house. Va Tech was a good team. Duke was a **** of a lot better than the bottom feeder they are today. UNC was about as good as they are now(besides last year outlier year). GT wasn't an absolute dumpster fire. Pitt was pretty good then.

And is the reason when Manny gets canned here he’s done ….at least in P5.Might be some FCS school that might be crazy enough to give him a shot. After all Coker got one so anything is possible

Time heals all wounds as those wounds are forgotten apparently.

The defense under Golden was so **** confusing that NFL teams would have a hard time knowing what to do. I'll never forget how the players would raise their hand in question, look at one another wondering what to do, and scrambling around while others are point all over the place before a snap. Maybe buried underneath all of that there was a sound scheme, but they never learned it or taught it so the players could decipher it.

Shannon ? 2? No . He is in a dead heat with Manny for last place

Nah, Shannon wouldn't lose the FIU like that. Golden was the worst IMO. Handing out schollies like candy, de-commit U, and just sucked in general. Just my opinion though.

it's a fact. golden was worse and it's really not debatable. recency bias is making a lot of people forget how truly dismal that period was.
