Still early in the season. I think if we had beaten UL, Nebraska, and GT like we should have then those teams wouldn't be ranked so high, and our strength of schedule wouldn't be so strong.

not accurate georgia tech one dimensional same as nebraska, louisville only multi well rounded team and they had a first year freshmen qb who made mistakes and we still couldnt win

So, we still should have won at least 2 of the games we lost!!! Or at a minimum looked much better, especially on defense!!!

It's because we have actually played some good teams. Fans want to minimize the talent of the teams they lost to, it's not anything new. Also fans generally tend to view the elite teams and players as actually being elite, but anything beyond that isn't good and they suck. We lost to some above average teams, teams that will win the majority of their games. Also, just about every power 5 team will play a cupcake or 2 so that keeps things even. We aren't the only ones who throws a FAMU on the schedule.

We are not even in the top 20 for toughest schedules so far.

WVU, TCU, OU, Miss State, Auburn, Bama, USCe, UGA, Arkansas etc. have all had harder schedules so far.

The fact WVU isn't in their top ten hardest schedules makes the 'NCAA Method' lose credibility

We also lost to a Louisville team without Parker and Dyer though. Louisville may turn out to be a decent team, but without Parker and Dyer, they aren't. Strength of schedule calculations are tough because there are so many factors that affect a team's performance week to week. Compound that error with a small sample size of games, and you'll get wacky results like this top ten.

Have you watched the games?

WVU has gone against three top 5 teams. Their 3rd strongest opponent is better than anyone we've play this year and it's not close. Their 4th best opponent is very comparable to GT and Louisville and could probably beat both of them.

If you believe one of the teams I've listed has had an easier schedule than us than this argument is pointless because you're trolling.

GT lost to a UNC team that allowed 70 points by ECU.

Our strongest opponent Nebraska barely beat Mcnesse state (at home) that plays in the Southland conference.

They also had the ball driving for the go ahead TD on the road against Michigan State in a game where Abdullah was shut down. So which one means more?

Probably be favored in the rest of their games besides on the road at Wisconsin. Good shot at 10 wins if not 11 in the regular season.

It happens. in 2011 K-State beats E. Kentucky by a field goal at home. Wins 10 games in the regular season and winds up in the Cotton Bowl. Judging teams by what they do against lower division teams they think they can roll their helmets out and beat will get you into trouble.

the teams that beat us aren't that good. we just make them look really good. flaw in rating our strength of schedule

It's not the fact that we are losing that bothers me so much, it's HOW we are losing. If the people still defending Golden can't grasp that, they never will

Whichever way you look at the focus of my point is the same. We are not in the top twenty for hardest schedules this year.

Also Mich State DOMINATED that game till the fourth quarter.
