I don't believe Manny's firing is a lock

We keep getting reassured that it is a lock he is done after the season by supposed insiders.

Meanwhile we have quietly won 4 out of 5.

I don't trust this BOT and president to fire a guy if he finishes 8 and 5 with a bowl game win and winning 6 out of 7.

Tell me I am wrong but it seems to me our admin is simply gonna slow roll this until the fans forget and then spin it as blah blah blah bull****.
It’s the new AD’s decision, nobody else’s. When that person is on board, a decision will be made.

If you told that Dan Mullen was going to get fired before Lispy I would have said put down the crack pipe.

The longer Lispy hangs around the more concerned I am that these morons are going to waste the TVD years while never admitting their repeated failures.

In a sane society there isn’t a chance in **** Lispy is retained by the new AD. However I must admit that we are no longer leaving in a sane society.

It very normal to fire a coach after the season. He would have been fired mid season if he would have kept losing. Just because you win a few games after you are out of contention doesn’t keep you safe. He was gone after UNC IMO

If he goes 8-5..he is gone if they have a agreement with Mario. If Mario is about money I’m sure he’d wait for the Oregon offer..but I don’t think money is a decided factor..Miami is literally home

Blake James hitched his wagon to the Diaz hire, and the team's performance was ultimately a reflection of Jame's poor judgment and losing mentality.

It's almost impossible to imagine a world where you get rid of an AD, either totally or partially because of how bad a key hire of his was, yet keep the bad hire that he made. If Diaz is back, I think you have a complete boycott among the diehard fanbase and total apathy among everyone else to the point where home games will be embarrassing cringefests with some ppl doing heinous sh*t.

But for the fact that a new AD will feel that he has to hire a new coach, Manny may have survived another year. Its a shame, Manny is one of the best off-season coaches ever.
Maybe the new coach hires Manny as an analyst to just run the offseason…guy can’t coach in season for sHT but you gotta admit he’s got that offseason sHT down pat.

I believe that Manny is gone and wont be back next year but I dont understand the point in telling him but not making it public. or dismissing him. Does that mean UM still has to pay a higher buyout or would it still be lower because the firing wont be official till January?
The buyout supposedly drops 2 million or thereabouts in early December

It will probably play out something like this:

1) New AD announced at some point before Thanksgiving

2) Manny Coaches vs Duke
3) Manny gets fired officially at some point the week after the Duke game.
4) Interim Coach named for the bowl game. Likely Lashlee.
