I am tired of blaming Mario or Chaney

Officals get the call right we would be 5-0 and ranked in top 15. Setting up a top 15 match up with UNC as best case scenario before the season. So many bad calls and TVD ****** performance made the game much closer than it should have been. But that was a worst case scenario game from the kickoff. Its over and behind. Media will kill Mario but goals are still in front of the team and the team has progressed from last year. Next game up.
The goals are still in front of them, sure. But we play everyone else still in contention plus Clemson. The odds of Louisville, UNC, and FSU all losing another ACC game are low even if we run the table. The odds of us losing 1 more and 2 of them losing 2 more is 0%

Saw something on X about 3 ACC schools could be undefeated end of season and they don't play each other?? How that going to work for ACCCG??

Mario believed in Chaney who did not fumble. Replay is clear on that. Yes the referees screwed as they did ALL game. But that isn't on Mario or Chaney. That is on ACC refs. There was NO hold on Parish TD run (7 points), no clear unsportsman like penalty of Flagg in first half that got GT out of bad field position, and really no penalty on Colby Young for just blocking his man in first half. This was as bad or worse officiating than the Miami Duke Game. A coach believes in a kid who has NEVER fumbled, and didn't on the play in question is a corch because of it? You are delusional. If that was officiated correctly we win, period. Don't blame the coach or the player blame the ACC refs. There is an anti Miami bias amongst certain refs in this league. Even when irrefutable evidence shows a call was wrong they won't overturn it. We remained in top 25 because everyone who saw the game knew we got screwed by the refs. Now let’s go beat UNC.
So you are relying on the officiating to get it exactly right? And if you believe it’s always against us, you are STILL relying on this? The part your hot take is missing is that if you kneel down, it’s fool proof.

People that always blame the officials for everything need to stop watching sports.

There’s a long list of tie-breakers. Gets down to point differential and all that.

Something else that could have factored into us running another play.. trying to break one and win by 10 instead of 3

Edit: they changed it.

  1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
  2. Win-percentage versus all common opponents.
  3. Win-percentage versus common opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference win-percentage, with ties broken) and proceeding through other common opponents based upon their order of finish.
  4. Combined win-percentage of conference opponents.
  5. The tied team with the higher ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular season games.
  6. The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner of Commissioner’s designee.

That's not the point for the umpteenth time....
Fact of the matter is...It should NEVER have come down to that. Stop with the douchebaggery....it's a futile attempt to cover up the fact.
I don't blame officials, normally! But this was one of the most biased, horribly officiated games I have ever seen. Should Mario have had VanDyke or Chaney kneel? Yes. But this game was heading to an official decided outcome all night. You can't throw the flag as many times as that crew did, without some intentional outcome already determined.

Any team based in North Carolina gets the nod. If only one is, then the one closest to North Carolina gets the second spot.

How about we leave the ACC?

The Big 10 is going to add 2 more teams in the next 3-4 years, with 20 as the long term plan. Other than that, I don't see any other conference as an option.

The refs were bad (what else is new) but you simply cannot blame them for the ending. If we kneel, then the game is over....no bad refereeing would have mattered. No excuses....bad refereeing has been a staple at UM since forever... but even with bad calls, the outcome was because of sheer stupidity, no matter how anyone wants to spin this.

Just wait till they barely touch Drake May on the road and get slapped with PF calls and Miami DBs get hit with non PI calls all night

There is no equivalency between Mario and Cheney. Cheney ran well, ran hard, and did everything asked if him.

Mario single handedly dropped the most basic part of his 8 million dollar jobv and single handedly lost the game while ruininga good team.

I'm not done blaming Mario. **** him. This is just another post to surreptitiously lower the heat on Mario. **** you. **** Him.

The officials made some terrible calls no doubt (the “fumble” being the worst) but Flagg crossed the line (stood over the the GT player & woofed in his face too long) on that one penalty.

The players surely know that all refs will crack down on Miami’s behavior more than any other team. At least 2-3 rules regarding “excessive celebrations” were implemented because of the celebrations of our former greats. So, Miami always gets a ton of scrutiny.

Got to play smart, be disciplined & show you’re the better man by having more points on the scoreboard at the end of the game. The officiating was BAD in this game though.
