I am just as ****ed as everybody...

No, I think it's a poor comparison. Golden never seemed like a good fit at Miami from day 1 and CMR, whether we like it or not, is likely to be here for quite a while regardless of banners. That was my point. He isn't going anywhere right now. Period. So all you do at this moment in time is hurt the program by doing that ****. That wasn't the case during the end of Golden's tenure.

CMR has done a lot of things right. He rebuilt a lot of broken relationships with local HS football factories; he brought back The U greats and got them involved again after they had been ostracized under the last two regimes; he had a huge hand in the construction of the IPF; he got our recruiting back on track; he won the Coastal; he won a bowl game; he got us back in the national limelight for the first time in a decade+. Golden did none of those things. As a result, Golden didn't have anywhere near the staying power that CMR has right now. And for that reason, CMR isn't going anywhere anytime soon, whether people like that or not. And so, again, all you do is create more negativity by flying banners and creating a sh-it storm of fire Richt negativity right now.

Let's lobby for changes that are realistic instead.

Let's lobby for changes that will result in NC's.

Everything else is a waste of time. And Mork Rich will NEVER win a NC.

Fair enough, I respect your opinion on that, CD. And obviously I want to get back to the top as well. But your ignoring the point I'm making. I'm not arguing that CMR is the greatest thing since sliced bread and we should all stand behind him and praise him, at all. I'm pointing out THE FACT that he isn't going anywhere right now, regardless of banners and how much people *****. So then why do it? There are other ways to vent our frustration without hurting the program, and more importantly, there are other changes that ARE realistic right now, which getting CMR fired is not.

Someone else already articulate why it's important that we start the banners now.

It accelerates the inevitable.

Put down the cheeba and comeback to reality and ask yourself do you really believe our o-line is more talented than UVA's, this is the same o-line that had problems against Savannah St. Jahir jones is the robert knowles of the o-line. Right now, we only got 2 decent run blockers and that's donaldson and gauthier, with scaife coming along. But scaife showed why player development is important for the young guys, playing them to fast is not always good.

What we are seeing right now is richt got left with a bad qb situation behind kaaya and a bad o-line situation, until the o-line and qb situation gets fixed, and with Ahmon out, as the year goes on, i kind of expected the type of game we had yesterday, we got jt4 and the rest of the receivers right now are just out their running around. Once he finds his qb be it perry or williams. I would run lingard or none of the young talent behind this o-line, preserved them for once the young guns start tajing over the o-line.

Sure.....it’s not like he has been here for three years.
So in three years of recruiting OL only one that he recruited can beat out one of those Golden rejects you mentioned??

Like I said, I respect your opinion. My opinion is that flying banners right now at this point in time will have a negative impact and result in nothing positive/constructive. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

“Let's lobby for changes that are realistic instead.”

Lobby to whom ? And how ?
You understand that the changes that need to happen Richt is not willing to do because it would involve firing his son.

We have lost 5 of our last 10 and cats think we are better than what we were???

Its a fascinating thing how simpletons crave order. They want every horrible coach to stay every single time. Unreal.

Again, to many people critiquing with emotions and not reality, in 2016, that was a salvaging job class, and we may have only signed 1 or 2 o-linemen and it was not a large class. Last year was coach richt's first True class and the results showed, navaughn donaldson came in and took over a spot, last year's line had 4 upperclassmen , so how many True freshmen you think you gone start. But donaldson and gaynor were playing last year, gaynor is redshirting so he can get develop more and take over that center spot next year, nobody was taking gauthier's spot. Next year hillery and herbert should be ready to contribute. The 2018 class scaife is already in position to take over, but he has alot of s & c that needs to be done before he can become consistently dominant. You only got a few plug and play highschool o-linemen that come out and can be major contributors, the majority have to be developed.

As much as people want to win and win now, the reality is, this o-line will be more talented come next year but not as developed physically, so in reality, year 5 is when things may start taking off on a regular offensively, unless we get neal and he comes in and blows it up at left tackle. But we got talented guys on the roster for o-line, once they start humming, than all of a sudden, the offense will take off.

So judge coach richt mainly off of his own recruits, but its also clear that guys have been playing better that were here before coach richt got here. This thing is being built, the roster was jacked up, and the lost of schalorships did affect us, so give coach richt credit for already having this team competitve, with Ahmon hurt, and with our qb situation, i didnt expect much offense saturday myself, UVA's defensive game plan was simple but effective, doubled jt4, bracketed harley cause they knew he was one off perry's got to receivers, so on both picks he was looking for harley.

Of course coach richt could've called somethings differently, and possibly eeked out a tough win, but there is alot of development that has to take place, our receivers are young and the veterans are average, cager, langham specifically. One the starters are mostly coach richt recruuts, this team will be a problem. This next recruiting class is going to be very vital.

We are in different galaxy’s if you think losing to VA in year three when you out talent that VA team in every single position group outside of punter is just a “bump along the way”

OL vs. there DL must no longer be a position group

Agree with your assessment of what MR has done for the program. What we forget is Golden recruited from behind, he never had a head start, always grabbing what he could on the deadline (no plan). He never had what it took to bring in Miami players. He wanted B10 players and you don't find them down here, he burnt many a bridges with local schools and did not recruit players that were worthy of playing for the U with the talent to play here.
Yes MR has been in the position three years now, yes he is not with the program when calling plays (this isn't FSU in 1990s anymore). But, I don't think he has been involved (enough) in the QB recruiting portion. When he took over he had to regroup and convince Perry to recommit, I don't think you had the time to reevaluate or re-recruit and QB. Jarren, he grabbed after Sitkowski sh***t the bed. I still think Jarren will be good. Just my thoughts.
Dorsey is sitting at FIU, once phone call could bring him home.

Stalin did too - he organized the peasants, built up his military, built statues of himself, shot folks who needed it (whether they needed it or not), and took steps for law and order - not so much law - but order.

So Richt has done some things right . . . that's certainly a determination factor there . . . would you say Saban has done a lot of things right?

Why is it stupid?

I expect your answers will be exactly the same as the people that opposed the banners when Gorlden was corch here.

bc they are stupid...same dudes that pray for some messiah out of the sky to grant them a wish for their bills to get paid...the rest of go and shovel **** to pay ours if need be bc we know faith without WORKS means nothing.

Outside of beating FSU..what has Richt done on the field than the last 2 HC's didn't do?

Al Golden is the second coming of mark Richt and Mark Richt is the first al golden.

Once again, my comment is taken completely out of context. if you read the posts above, you would see I specifically said "I'm not arguing that CMR is the greatest thing since sliced bread and we should all stand behind him and praise him, at all. I'm pointing out THE FACT that he isn't going anywhere right now, regardless of banners and how much people *****". I listed those factors above as reasons that CMR is not getting fired anytime soon; not to try and support CMR beyond all the valid criticism.

brother we all know Richt isn't going anywhere...we are just venting.

What it seems most of you are overlooking is from the outside his record is respectable and were Miami to make any change you can all but forget getting another guy to take the job, unless he's some bottom dweller...like Davis or Mario.

//easy CD and 'orlando, it's a joke

I continue to hear suggestions that Richt isn't going anywhere.

That Richt won't change diddly ****.

The trick is to provide Richt the proper motivation.

To provide the University the proper motivation.

To point out that which is obvious to everyone else.

At West End Zone - these guys are proven motivators. They should give seminars on motivation engagements.

Banners just work.
