Hypothetical Question regarding N’Kosi

If Malik struggles like he did yesterday against Clemson do you burn Perry’s RS? If not against Clemson would you do it in the playoffs if we make it. Same question if Malik is hurt. The stakes are so high that it seems like something to consider.

Sounds crazy but to a man everyone agrees that not burning Frank Gore’s Redshirt in 2002 for the Ohio State game was the biggest regret. He didn’t stick around for his 5th year so it was a wasted redshirt anyway. If N’kosi is any good he won’t be here either.

To be honest,it is too late. We have NOT seen him in real game situations, so there is no sure thing.

If we win, we ride Rosier to the end... if not see you all next year.

Looking at Richt's reaction, Rosier has played his last season as starter....

And from yesterday's interview, Rosier just put a bullet in the gun and pulled the trigger on his job.

N'kosi is not ready and got beat out for the job decisively. He had every chance to win the job in the fall. Give it up. Rosier is all we have right now
 
Guys does anybody actually know good Perry is, I'm in Texas and have never seen him play, but to me he LOOKS like Jacory. If not him do we have a badazz on the radar, this team, you know quarterback U, needs a quarterback...thanks
 
I’m assuming Perry would be as good as Pickett who didn’t play until last week against Va Tech. Also that he’s been able to pick up the offense as the years gone on. We don’t need a lot from the QB. Just hit wide open receivers.
 
you dont burn a redshirt like that. no way. no fb and this ol and you want a kid that skinny in their against clemson DL?

The reality is that we’re playing for a lot this year. Who knows how many more chances we’ll get. If he can play as well as the Pitt QB we have a shot against anyone. If Malik struggles like that again or gets hurt do you just give up on a chance to win the conference or NC?
 
God why do people even do this ?


Perry didn't perform better than Evan in camp so why would we put him in over Evan and waste a whole year ?
 
Has Perry even been running our offense or is he scout team offense. So don’t assume he knows our offense as well as you think. And I don’t know how much scout team he’s running. So to say he’s like the pitt qb who has been probably getting 2nd team reps all year is idiotic.
 
407, that’s not exactly accurate. I think once he didn’t win the starting job, richt knew no matter what he was getting a redshirt. You may be right, but even if Perry beat out Evan I think he was getting a rs. No sense in him wasting 2 years in mop up duty behind rosier. On the flip side, no matter what, Perry gets 2nd team snaps next in game and practice as Perry needs to get ready.

Pitt’s true freshman was 3rd string until Max Browne got hurt. His first start was last week against va tech.

Pitt had absolutely nothing to play for yet Narduzzi who most would acknowledge is a good coach felt ok burning Pickett’s redshirt.

Weldon for some reason is never discussed. He's got talent.

Richt likes guys with a good feel for the game and whom knows where to go with the ball. Whomever can do that best will start.

Why are you assuming that? Perry was just bad when he had a chance to win the job in the fall.
