Hype? Yes. Questions? Yes.

Yea I don't think it's much of an issue, and that's the only negative I've been able to find on his passing ability. As long as he can get the ball to JT and Harley in stride then it's not an issue

The bigger question at this point, imo, is whether or not Harley would catch it.

Martell threw for 7,507 yards and 113 touchdowns, with nine interceptions, in his three seasons, according to MaxPreps.com.

Don't know if I have ever seen a better TD to INT ratio.

Jayden Daniels, a SoCal QB in this year's class, posted 122:9 for his career. Naturally, Rick and Junior went after MJJ instead.

What's done is done, though. Excited to see what Martell brings to the offense.

Second play in the video, about 18 seconds in he throws it from the 45 almost opposite hash about 5-6 yards deep in the endzone in the air on a jump ball. Pretty sure he has enough of an arm to get things done here.

OP.....check out the throw at 1:40 on this tape, think about what you've said, take a lap, and stop posting.

I see plenty of velocity and accuracy in those clips. I don’t think one receiver had to break stride to make the catch.

Dude doesn't have a generational arm talent like Tua or Justin Fields, but idk about no throwing talent: 22/28 as a college QB. Watch his highlight tape and it's literally littered with balls that travel 45-50 yards in the air on a rope and are on point. He seems to be very accurate and have a solid arm. My concern might be that he is slow going through progressions. If that's the case, in theory at least he has the ability to regularly buy himself more time to find the right throw (ie Johnny Manziels entire college career)

I definitely defer to guys with a better grasp of QB scouting -- paging @Roman Marciante

Here I am. Tate Martell Piece being written. Right now. Let's get it.

I dont know why youre so focused on his arm(you shouldnt be...its fine)...its his legs that will make him a great fit in our new O

Kosar, Walsh, Dorsey. Arm strength way down as a priority for a QB as far as I’m concerned. Intelligent film nut who gets the ball out quick and HATES losing more than anything are far more important traits. Anywho, if Enos wants him I’m good.

Go Canes!

Even if his arm were weak... I watched Ken Dorsey and Kellen Moore and Matt Leinart and Sam Bradford and so many other weak arm strength guys dominate this sport. Can he throw it accurately with timing and can he lead young men to wins? Thats college football.

If he gets the waiver to play immediately this kid is going to literally ignite our offense. Kid is a thrill a minute type that will electrify our QB starved fan base.
