If the players like to mix it up then let them. If it even REMOTELY helps with recruiting, do it. I am pretty sure it helps with recruiting, kids love this kind of stuff.... Roll with it

When were we suppose to be boring traditionalist like Bama or Penn State? People complained the first few years under Golden when he only wanted to wear orange and white now they are complaining about too many varieties.
 
What do unis really have to do with performance. The team is playin with confidence right now. They want to look good.

Were u opposed to Miami not wearing the OLD black helmet when they switched to white back in the days?

i dont think alabama actually wore those uniforms. irregardless, we're not alabama, theyre one of the lamest teams out there i dont know how anyone could pull for them, so we dont need to copy them and have boring uniforms. i'm all for a modern design of our regular uniforms, and even a game here and there where we go all green, stormtrooper, etc. I just hate that we do it the majority of the time now and we RARELY do our orange or green jerseys with white pants and regular helmet, and white jersey with either orange or green pants and regular helmet on the road. also i just think our new uniform designs are totally mediocre when they could have been really sweet, but thats just my personal opinion and not the point of my post. I actually think it's sweet when teams bust out an alternate jersey, but if you constantly do it theres nothing special or sweet about it...it's overkill. And you lose your identity.
 
Real question.. How old are most of you gents that say it's terrible? I have heard a recruit actually say he chose a certain team and one of the reasons is because he "liked their uniforms". At first, I was opposed to change, but now 3/4 through the season I say **** it. It makes the players happy obviously and as long as we still wear the old school white helmets every once in a while I'm cool with that.
