Hurricane Alumni on the banner...

and we got the famous butthurt CIS reneggers....

Thread: Hurricane Alumni on the banner...
Hey look *****, I can neg too. Since you seem to think "negs" mean anything, here's one for you.

Sure, why not. Not sure what "CIS" is, but since you seem to enjoy "negging" people and think it's important, I wanted to give you one in return for your effort. Especially since your post was so stupid.

so the facts I stated I guess went over your head, and you don't know the history of this place or even the name (CanesInSight), and you have to act childish, I can only assume that you are pre-puberty, as the last thing that age group does when their point is moot is revert to name calling.

You stated absolutely zero facts that indicate the banner has any effect other than making the fanbase look stupid. Your opinion that it had a different impact is nothing more than that, wishful, agenda-based, opinion. As for acting childish, I'd say "negging" in the first place, and posting to let the world know that you "negged", as if you were A) relevant and B) doing something of importance or making a valid point, is far more childish. I simply responded to you childishness in kind.

so I get it now.

Your opinion is FACT.
My opinion is stupid and wrong, mainly because it differs from your's.

Communism is built on your fact theory.

No, the fact that there hasn't been a single major media article touting the banner, and an number of them specifically calling out UM fans as stupid and juvenile for the banner, is a FACT. My opinion is that I agree with them. For someone who thinks opinion should be freely allowed and not attacked, it's pretty hypocritical of you to "neg" someone for not sharing yours.

you need to do more research before calling something a fact.

BTW, for your history lesson, when you get negged, you take it like a man. When you reneg just because someone negged you, it is frowned upon. Btw, Rep doesn't mean crap, your right. I actually told the admins to take a silver star of rep away because I deserved to be negged on a point I made before and they did, so I honestly could give a crap about negs, unlike you.

No need for a "history" lesson from you. Don't care about your "etiquette" for "negging" since negging is irrelevant as is "rep." Since you seemed to think "negs" meant enough to neg me and post about it, I figured that pathetic display was neg worthy for you.

however you justify your butthurtness in your mind works for me.

Speaking of "butthurtness", your constant replies and harping on the issue implies you maybe should have applied a little more vaseline to your own.

Where's your "research"? Bottom line. Major sports media that mentions the banner has primarily done so in a mocking manner towards the fanbase and banner. Three different UM fan sites on facebook, and easily 2-3 to 1 the comments have been against the banner and how utterly stupidly juvenile it is.

your the one that made the claim of 1-2 media outlets and those stated it was stupid, so where is the proof of that? If you produce it, I counter with the numerous other outlets that put them out, including the lead story on Yahoo and CBS that simply put it out as the upset fan base. So, with that, go.

Go back and see the numerous times it was posted or cited in the countless "banner" threads. Either you are lying about having not seen them, or you chose not to see them. I'm not spending my time searching for you. As for Yahoo! and CBS, they stated that a banner was flown by a few fans, while talking about the fact that overall the fanbase is restless. However, even many of those who want Golden gone, see the banner as stupid, juvenile, pointless, and embarrassing. It's the equivalent of a childish tantrum. Anyway, I'm heading off to enjoy this beautiful day. You can keep pretending you are a champion of righteousness and forcing the administration's hand by flying silly, childish banners, and you can keep "negging" if that also makes you feel as if you accomplished something.

I never said I was right, you just said I was wrong. Either way, I will be at the games supporting the team, win, lose are draw. Not sure if you will be there, but if you do, come by the green parking lot right next to the main entrance and I'll give you a beer to talk about it (if you are old enough for beer).

Get a room already

How ridiculous to say that the banner flying means the fanbase didn't "universally" reject it. So what? All it takes is a few fan donating relatively small amounts of money to fly a banner. To pretend that it in any way represents anything more than a minority of the fanbase is laughable.

negged

Oh no!!!! I've been negged. Oh wait, that means exactly nothing even if you were someone relevant to anything. Neg away. Doesn't change the fact of my post.

Fact - besides one BOT member, and a few on twitter that condemned the Banner, there was no condemnation of the banner. Fact, their was more publicity of the banner than could have been bought 10x with the money.

Myth - Your point.

Clearly you are selectively reading. I've seen at least 2-3 media articles mentioning the banner, and specifically pointing out how immature it is and making negative comments about the fanbase in regards to the banner. I haven't seen a single one saying how it's a brilliant or valuable tactic. Also seen many comments on facebook on the many "U" sites, and the vast majority call out the banner as being stupid.

LOL now you are just lying... A majority of the social outlets the U fans are in support of the banner. Its the odd comment that its stupid. Pure selective reading on your part.

As for any articles saying its immature, you have a link?

So basically blah, blah, blah I'm taking my ball home because I lost this argument and it doesn't make me feel good. I'm going to go take some midol because I'm on my period, hence the hysterics in my posting.

None of these are calling out the banner as stupid or juvenile.

Take the 247sports article:

"Al Golden's four years at Miami have been fraught with disappointment, and its 4-3 start to the 2014 season is no exception.

Despite recruiting near the top of the ACC during every year -- even amid the once-grave threat of NCAA penalties -- the on-field product for the Hurricanes has consistently fallen well short of expectations. In fact, the 'Canes have still never won the ACC Coastal, a division they were expected to dominate when they joined the league in 2004.

Most are pretty neutral. And elevating the discussion of the current state of UM to the national level can't hurt.

Those are completely biased and should be thrown out ******* moron. Go read the places without their own don Bailey, or ****** slurping porsters. Try to point out where these mock the fan base for me, because outside calling the banner crowd the minority, it isn't happening. At best, they think people won't see it because the stands are empty. Then they go ahead and post a picture on their site to help it gain exposure.
Looking forward to your 16-24 links from non fan sites, and non local media outlets that need to protect their credential.

So a group of fans giving the middle finger to a coach that gave the entire fan base the middle finger (for varying amounts of time) has denigrated to this? What a joke.

Spot on. Never forget that Golden, by his deeds and words, has brought this upon himself. I heartily laugh at any notion that beating the worst VT squad in 20 years is some kind of notable achievement. Once upon a time, Larry Coker also rose up (briefly) from mediocrity and snapped off a big road win at Blacksburg. He was still fired as **** a year later for the kind of underperforming that Golden is currently providing. Let the thing play out a bit more, the tune will be drastically different if we lose to UNC and FSU in consecutive weeks, which is very much a possibility.

My hatred for Golden doesn't stem from fielding a bad team. But when you talk about pillars and bull**** non stop and then you go AWOL right before signing day, try and get another job, hold our class and program hostage while you refuse to answer any questions, then you come slinking back and still treat the fans as if they aren't capable of seeing through the BS....

Well a banner is a nice way of saying go **** yourself
