Hunter Knighton

Hey guys can anyone explain what this means? is there a reason they took his scholarship or was it his decision? Or can you just take a scholarship away for not being a good football player?

If he is graduating school and is not playing football why would they keep him on scholly when they can use it.

This might sound harsh but maybe they should offer the same deal to Dogflu. St. Louis has taken a firm hold of the RT position and you've got Donaldson, Brown and a few other tackles coming.

He's forgoing his 5th year of eligibility. Scholarships are not guaranteed in any way shape or form. Speculating on whether or not it was his decision is meaningless at this point. Just celebrate him on senior day and move on. Much respect to the kid.

How much respect?

The even better news is this kid was ahead of Milo, Loftus, Mahoney, etc on the depth chart.. pretty sure he's second string RT right now. Could tell the future of those below him as well

UM's only obligation is a opportunity to get a college degree. Since Hunter has his degree, his undergraduate work is done. Open scholarship!

Was Milo really THAT bad? I guess I've never seen him play in a game, but that's woefully below what I expect, even from a 4* bust.

Came in pretty small and struggled putting on weight and getting stronger and maintaining the quickness he had as a tackle. I think he could be one of the guys that really take the 3 years to develop and are really good as a RS junior and RS senior. Oline is the toughest position to project and the toughest to play in right away.

Who knows. I don't think he's just a puss.. he seemed to be a dog and play mean. Pretty sure he kicked a dudes *** in a basketball game his senior year.

I agree with everyone on that list but Milo, he needs to be playing guard. He will catch on

How bad must Loftus be that in a team starving for tackles he can't get on the field.
We literally have three true tackles and one of them is out for the year and Loftus can't get a snap.

Don't like bashing on these players. Having said that, a lot of posters on here were skeptical that he was literally in FSU's backyard and they didn't even pay attention to him.

Loftus will probably go and go to a school in the CUSA or Sun Belt.

The worst OL are the ones that are tall with short arms and that's loftus. They can't get leverage and they just get dominated at the point if attack. Only exception is if they extremely quick in the feet or elite upper body strength.. and to my knowledge Loftus isn't either. I'm confident in saying he'll never pan out. As for Mahoney and Milo idk they could benefit from experience and years of development and weightroom.

I watched Lofus in HS and was now away how meh he was . Especially for his size. Didn't even dominate a little

it was an al golden scam. he couldnt get big recruits so he signed a bunch of OL and said "florida was so loaded with OL which is a need so we had to take them all"
