Ton of 5 stars, but 3 & 4 as well. UGA won a title with a QB who probably wasn’t even a 3 star & left for a JUCO.Texas, OSU, Bama, and UGA would beg to differ.
+/- of course, but you get the point gato.

Completely false right there. We are well over 50% blue chip ratio and it is a matter of fact we have the highest blue chip ratio we’ve had at this program since the early 2000s. This is a tier one roster, and if you can’t see that, then you don’t know what football looks like in this day and age. I would say, if you are over 50% blue chip ratio, you have a tier one roster. Is the roster perfect, no but there isn’t a perfect roster in America so forget that idea. What it’s about now is coaching and development and we’ll see if they can do it. But calling a roster that’s well over 60% blue-chip ratio, not tier one, is completely false. His job was to make the UM roster Tier 1, competing vs the heavy weights. Its still Tier 2 and thats not good enough weekly IMO. Any game you can lose if your Tier 2 cause it happens to Tier 2's every season. He has to fix the HS recruiting.
Yea there is way more room for improvement at the HS level imoFix HS recruiting???
Aight bruhCompletely false right there. We are well over 50% blue chip ratio and it is a matter of fact we have the highest blue chip ratio we’ve had at this program since the early 2000s. 90% is truly wild. I can’t believe thatWhat teams will you put into tier 1 and why?
Just some facts,
Since 2011, all the championship teams have a Blue Chip Ratio of at least 50%. The 2023 Michigan National Championship team had a 54% Blue Chip Ratio. Miami’s 2025 roster has a Blue Chip Ratio of 64%
Blue Chip Ratio of every National Championship since 2011
- 2011: Alabama (71%)
- 2012: Alabama (71%)
- 2013: Florida State (53%)
- 2014: Ohio State (68%)
- 2015: Alabama (77%)
- 2016: Clemson (52%)
- 2017: Alabama (80%)
- 2018: Clemson (61%)
- 2019: LSU (64%)
- 2020: Alabama (83%)
- 2021: Georgia (80%)
- 2022: Georgia (77%)
- 2023: Michigan (54%)
- 2024: Ohio State (90%)
So according to the data Miami has a better BCR than 4 of the past 15 national champions. That ties this current roster with 2019 LSU, that same LSU that some think would beat the 01 Miami team.
So again what classifies a roster as tier 1?
I mean it's cool if he's being honest but can we expect a much better 2-deep than 2025? Senior starters across the board with some seriously talented backups. Now's the time.
For good reason. Those teams have big $, big brand, big conference, sell out every game and a track record of winning. We have some of that, but not all.In the recruiting landscape I feel like (no stats) Texas,OSU,Oregon,UGA,Bama still as of 2025 are the cream of the crop on the trail. This can change yearly with coaching hires and things like that. I don’t think we land as top heavy as those programs on the trail.
Yea we could still be on the path to tier 1……that is definitely possible. I just don’t believe it until it happens. I would have to see it two cycles in a rowFor good reason. Those teams have big $, big brand, big conference, sell out every game and a track record of winning. We have some of that, but not all.
So many on this board think it is the birth right of UM to get every recruit we want and anything less is complete failure. Fact is, the talent we have accumulated in the past 3 years is by far punching above our weight. We are on a path to tier 1 and there is a better chance of getting there with Mario than anyone in the past 20 years or anyone who would be willing to take Mario's job.
It’s a new day. You don’t miss or get out-hustled in HS recruiting. More often than not, you get outbid. Comes down to evaluations & best allocation of resources.Yea there is way more room for improvement at the HS level imo
When you have high priority misses in HS recruiting that means it can be better

I think we do win this season but let’s see if that helps the flip game. That's the way I see it. I take it you define Tier 1 as the 3 schools that over the last decade have had perennial Top 5 classes and Top 5 end-of-season rankings -- Bama, Georgia and Taint. And to that you would add the resurgent Oregon and UTX?
If that fits your definition, I would argue we're already squarely in the Tier 2 group of ND, Pedo State, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU. And if we do make the playoffs this year, I think you'll see us moving into Tier 1. Will be hard to get there without major flips for 2026 class (which definitely could happen). But we'll start knocking on the door again, and we'll be there for 2027.
And then there's TAMU and Auburn which are in either T1 or T2 from a rankings perspective but never look it on the field. UF who thinks they're in T1/T2 but isn't. UTN and USC who pop up then fade away because the boosters are disgusted by the product on the field.
He has infinitely more talent than every single roster he will play against this season other than ND and FL. Those are closer of course. Win 10 games.
Totally agree. This season is about coaching, as I stated in earlier post, this team has a higher blue chip ratio than 4 of the past 15 national champions.Completely false right there.
