Hugh Freeze to Tennessee

I'm not sure why y'all setting yourselves up to be disappointed.

We ain't getting an OC, and if we do, it'll be some one plucked from obscurity like Jess Simpson (which admittedly worked pretty well).
Richt will absolutely not hire a threat to his job. He is already lamenting the Manny Diaz hire enough as it is.

He won’t hire an OC that will make him look dumb. He will hire some ******* that runs the same crap so he can point to the ****** results and say:

“Seeeee I tooooold you so”

And there are a few scrubs on this forum would eat that quote up.

We won’t pick a new OC until Richt really chits the bed against the Turds to open next season. That loss will be so ugly and things will become so toxic that Richt will be gone, either thru retirement or (finally) firing. Manny takes over then, and he’ll pick the next OC. Always count on Miami to let things get totally out of control before these numbnuts act. Another wasted season as Manny tries to get things under control and deals with all the jags that will be on the team from a horrible 2019 recruiting season.

At this point, I'm ok with this.

Probably the best of all options for Miami.

Manny would hire an OC and then let him run the offense.

Tennessee's offense was dead last in the SEC. their OC, Helton, left to go to Western Ky as HC but he was going to be fired
anyway. Hiring Freeze is a monster hire for Pruitt and the Vols offense will be much improved and another thing, Freeze is
one **** of a recruiter. Vols are serious about winning. Miami is serious about filling up Mork's retirement fund.

Riley and offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, developed new concepts that the Sooners added to their scheme and the Sooners now use the counter run as well. As a result, the Sooners have also installed pass plays off of those run concepts that have made the offense more diverse.
----

Bedenbaugh isn't some glorified assistant coach who is given a make-believe title of OC, like our RB coach. Bedenbaugh is a true Air Raid guru (but added wrinkles to make it even better). Riley called plays at Oklahoma because he is the HC and that was his decision on how he wanted to coach (like Rick did, except Riley is actually good at it).

We havent been frozen out (no pun intended). The best OC option is still out there. Since Oklahoma is still in contention for a playoff spot and Riley hasn't left for NFL, Bedenbaugh isn't going to make a move until after the season.

I GUARANTEE some team is going to hire Bedenbaugh as a playcalling OC if Riley leaves and Oklahoma brings in a new HC. If Miami has half a brain, we hire Bedenbaugh. Rick can even keep his old buddy Searles at OL coach since he'll finally be supervised by someone who understands offensive line play and is an ace recruiter.

This seems entirely plausible.

BS...see Oklahoma
Oklahoma fired their defensive coordinator and promoted guys already on staff to take his spot. Unless they've just hired another coach very recently that I've not heard about.

Says who? You can get an OC yesterday, if you wanted to. You don’t have to wait for the season to be over?!?!?!
You're going to hire a coordinator and have him install an entirely new offense between now and the bowl game?

This is what I call a coach trying to win at all costs. Sadly it looks like Pruitt really knows what he's doing in Knoxville. I see them as the team that is most likely to compete with UGA in the SEC East.

However I'll add this - divisions in CFB are so stupid. There should be no divisions nor Conference Championship game.

First they need to challenge Vandy to get out of last place.
