HS coaching talent moving to ATL

Most are on the extreme outskirts of metro Atlanta or in more rural outposts. Be curious to see how much of salaries are tied directly to coaching position,

I'm 3-0 versus teams on that list.

I get paid $2000 per season.

Updated…and obviously a chunk is teaching salaries. Like the guy from Dublin has been there forever.

Are you sure the private school salaries are included on this list?
I know what the high school football and men’s basketball coach are paid at the Lovett Schools (my kids attend and I’m a middle school basketball coach there). They make more than many of the coaches on this list.

@Coach Macho. Many of the top basketball and football programs in Georgia that are located in Metro Atlanta are private schools, especially basketball. Those coaches are paid very well. I don’t think any part of how much they are paid is based on which political party runs Atlanta. Please refrain from politics on this board.

I’m more than happy to have a debate on allocation of educational resources on a different board. But I would remind you that Buzz Bissinger, the author of Friday Night Lights, was not praising Odessa Permian for its large football stadium or well paid coaches. He was exposing the lack of resources Odessa Permian provided to its academics and arts, and how the high school had not had a national merit scholar in 10 years.

Def no private schools on there. Benedictines coach would def make it into the top 25.

If high school students were litigious, this would not stand up in court for the same reason the NC2A’s attempt to block transfers was shot down in court. But the time it takes for a hearing with GHSA, which then denies the transfer would eliminate any football player from being able to go to court as the season would basically be over. Even with basketball a player would lose half the season before a court could even hear the case.

Those things have been in place and they havent mattered.

I think this rule if I read it right and I still have the email saved so Ill go back but its basically if you transfer a 3rd time in high school. The wording in that tweet is off.
