How you do anything is how you do everything.

3-1. He probably squeaks out a W over MTSU and everyone calls him a corch for letting MTSU keep it close and not letting the backups get reps. Doubt UM would be suffering from the same offensive woes if Diaz had hired another power spread OC to follow Lashlee.

He'd go .500 in the ACC but people are overlooking exactly how weak this opening schedule is. Appalachian State lost to James Madison. aTm was in a bad, bad spot and it got even worse.

And you embarrassed us today.

At least we went cheap on the guy who doesn’t speak Spanish up in Happy Valley.

You took 16 generations to hire the wrong OC.

You did it because you like this backwards, anti-Miami style of offense.

I’m not hurt, dog. I’m not mad, I’m used to this by now.

How you do anything is how you do everything, and everything you did today embarrassed us.

A lot of people like that we're paying high salaries because it makes us seem like a big time team.

What people don't realize is that cheaply paid coaches are the coaches who you can actually fire. If Mario flames out, I have no idea how the university will even be able to afford to fire him after five years. Let alone firing him after three years like Manny.

It's refreshing to read a post with some perspective. Well said.

Obviously, it was foolish for anyone to think this team would run the table. Today's loss was one no one expected. Team came out flat and just didn't come to play. MTSU out coached us, out toughed us and out played us. No excuse for the performance we saw today. I remember back during Butch's first season at the the helm there were a lot folks questioning his coaching acumen. How'd that turn out?

In Butch's first year, Miami went 8-3. In his second season we lost at the OB to East Carolina 31-6. We went 5-6 that year. it was the first losing season since Schelly's first year in 1979. Granted, we were decimated by the scholarship cut but that year was a nightmare for us. That year included one of the program's most humiliating losses, a 47–0 to the semenhoes. I was at Doak that day and after the game the last thing on my mind was the run our program was about to make. And as much as we all love Jimmy, he stunk up the joint his first year at Miami. Coming off a national title winning team at that. And after watching the Canes blow a 31–0 halftime lead to Maryland with Frank Reich as its QB and the Hail Maru]y touchdown pass from Flutie, did anyone think Jimmy was setting us up for one of the greatest runs in college football history?

Today's loss was embarrassing, to say the least. But at the end of the day, Mario is a step up from any HC we've had since Butch. Let's revisit the madness in another year or two, and if we're still stinking it up then we can talk crazy. Til then, need all the fake fans and trolls to simmer down.

GO CANES!!!
We went 9-3 with a bowl win in 1996. One of those losses was to ECU.

3rd season was 5-6 with the big loss to FSU.

Completely agree with this take. Ask Clemson fans how they felt losing 70-33 in the OB. They never thought Dabo could do it. Or Kirby Smart going 7-5 his first year at the helm. Or Luke Fickel going 4-8 his first year at Cincy.

As ****** as it is, we need to take a long-term outlook here. This game does not define how Mario will do here. What will define him is how he responds to this.

I Especially liked the 4th line about the backwards anti-Miami offense. Facts!

Also, who almost singlehandedly keep us in the game? Smiff! Before everyone gets on my case, I think a bit of levity is healthy and something we could all use about now.

I saw it from the beginning with the previous corches. I was a relentless mope. I ignored a lot this time because I wanted it to work. I was thrilled to finally see the financial commitment also. Now, I no longer care. Mario is not going anywhere for a long, long time. Either he figures it out or just shut the program down.

I also have not wanted a group of players to finally leave than this current crop of losers. Portal, graduate, go undrafted, fvck off. Entitled, overpaid divas. I mean, what did we expect from losers with years of losing habits and then suddenly throwing money at them? I guess we, as the worst fans in the world, expected too much. That quit on display was pathetic.

Lol this place is going to be a cesspool for 2 weeks with nothing to do but complain. Not to mention the Miami beat has nothing to write about but this for two weeks. Kill me now
why blame the board when its your favorite HC is putting a ****** product to complain about on the field for four straight weeks

the ones who **** up a decent amount are the ones who have only been at miami for a year. it isnt the players all the time. the HC is an average *** coach who can't scheme anything once the going gets tough.
