Mario is a mixed bag of a lot of things, some things borderline elite, others, painstakingly average….

But he’s OUR mixed bag and as one poster said, there would be about 5% of CIS that would celebrate our “meathead” taking his talents to Baton Rouge.

Would be sad. He isn't perfect but we are good once again and we have the full support of our boosters and Administration. At worst we are borderline playoff team every year and I truly believe this is just the beginning with the way Mario recruits.

Talk about bias: We call him "meathead" because he's an OL guy, don't we? If he were an ex QB or WR or DB, do you think we'd still consider him a big dumb guy?

He is called meat head because of low football IQ. If he didn't consistently get outclassed on gamedays that moniker wouldn't exist. Noone calls Brent Key or Andy Reid meathead.

Mario is a great coach. People are just reactive. But In his time at Miami he has produced

- Am elite offense (last year)
-An elite defense (this year)
- Elite special teams (Borregales)

Which shows he’s capable of all three.

We just need him to hit on all three in the same year. This year’s team is **** close. It’ll happen for us eventually if Mario keeps grinding.

He's also an elite human being

Take the buyout money from LSU and invest it in LSU's 'under' Vegas win total in year 1. He would lose to Tulane or LA Tech in year 1 and then do something stupid in November in year 2 ruining their playoff hopes and the wheels would fall off and he'd get fired.

Then, we can hire him back cheaper and have triple the money for NIL.

If he left for LSU I'd of course be disappointed, but part of me would be thankful that he's rebuilt this roster (not that the job is completely finished) and I'd be keen to see what another coach could do with it to drive the programme forward.
