How would this season have gone under Richt?

Entire family coached HS...CFB and currently 2 in the NFL.....Go run along F-boy....

right. you're probably an elementary school phys ed teacher and part time cafeteria custodian, who just happens to be distantly related to people who coached. (coat tail relatives who don't even know your name).

you remind me of the janitor in the economics department at Yale who thinks he knows enough to win a nobel prize because he says hello to the professors in the hallway.

just a sad member of the lower orders. what a pathetic and irrelevant life. run along little man.

8-4, with a better Bowl game.

Wouldn't have lost to VA Tech at home & wouldn't have lost to FIU or GTech.

Definitely would've lost to UF & probably UNC too.

I agree but I believe with Richt its a stronger possibility we get at least 1 win between UF, UNC, and Duke. Add FIU and GaTech into the convo and its most likely an 8 wins at worst season or 9 wins at best. Still would’ve been considered a disappointing season but not a worst of all time season.

7-5 at best, wouldn't have been as bad on offense. Still bad but not the level Penos has brought the offense. The biggest area of decline would have been the defense. It would be basically having two Blake Bakers calling plays.

Banda and Patke would have been even worse playcallers than Blake Baker.

Plus Manny Diaz wouldn’t have been there to help lead the defense during practice.

My guess is a 9 win but still disappointing season with like a 60% chance of losing the bowl based on the draw. This would probably be the norm with 1 game swings in either direction under Rick.

This team was his players. They had just gone 7-6. Same bad OL and QB. Probably wins FIU (I can't see him losing to Butch). If kicking game the same, then probably 7-6. If kicker replaced earlier 8-4, outside chance of 9-3 and Orange Bowl (and epic loss to Alabama). It would be a better season but would have hidden the underlying problems.

The silver lining with Diaz is that Blake James 's fate is tied to him so in the long run it is better for the program to start at the AD level and rebuild (kinda like Baylor did except not hiring Art Briles).

I guess I'm more in line with the Dolphins philosophy of "blow it up and start over" instead of perpetual mediocrity while maybe stumbling into a 10 win season 1-2 times a decade.

This. After last season, it was getting toxic for richt. He quit for a reason.

I second your astute notion. Richt knew had GARBAGE coming back and most importantly, he had heart issues and all that. Enter his recent heart attack several weeks past.

Well Richt always struggled vs UF when he was at UGA, his record vs them was 5-10 all time.

I think we would've lost to UNC under Richt too because the thing about Richt's teams was we always started off slow & had ebs & flows throughout the season. Richt's teams were streaky, we either went on a 4 game losing streak or a multi game win streak, we were always up & down, especially in the beginning of the season.

We would've absolutely whacked GTech, FIU & Va Tech. The only games that would've been questionable is the road games, we always struggled on the road with Richt.

Jarren would have bolted. Thomas would have stayed gone. I think the OL would have been slightly better tho because I don't see Richt going with a plan of starting two freshman at tackles to start the year. We likely see Scaife at LT which means we probably don't give up 10 sacks and we beat UF.

JT4 wouldn't be here to drop a TD then muff a punt to give UF the ball on the 5...

At least we wouldn't have started out the season with high expectations.

Richt left us with the **** kicking situation. He gets no benefit in that regard. He was less bad than enos, but it was goin the wrong way with him. He’d have won 7, maybe 8. Wouldn’t have lost to FIU.
