How would people feel about this guy at QB….

Taulia is a clear upgrade over TVD. He's also a leader with elite work ethic and intangibles off the chart. If Taulia can get one more season of eligibility and wants to finish his career in Miami then the search is over for a starter.

I just glanced his ESPN career stats has a barely [BGCOLOR=initial]2 to 1 career TD to INT ratio 77 TD 37 INT plus his career rushing avg ypc is 0.8 plus he is listed at 5'11" which means he is probably 5'10 at best. No thanks! It says he only played 3 games in 2019 but that doesn't seem right. I would much rather stick with TVD than go to this guy. I don't think he has any eligibility remaining. [/BGCOLOR]
Taulia has pretty much carried Maryland on his back the last 3 years and turned them into a respectable 7/8 win team. That place was a dumpster fire before he got there, yes he can struggle a bit against the top tier teams but it's because his offense is completely outmatched and has an awful OL.

Never got the “ he struggles against the best teams “, well yeah. That’s why they’re the best teams lol. They have a big talent advantage versus 99 percent of teams

Slightly OT but this narestive always drives me crazy too - "Coach X is bad vs. teams with a good offense/defense."

No kidding??

He’s better than Jacurri would ever be and you don’t get the up and down like TVD
Yes he's better than Jacurri. But his peak isn't better than TVD's peak.

What I'm saying is adding him and losing both Jacurri and TVD doesn't elevate the QB room in total because of the loss of depth. I see it as a downgrade in the QB room.

But my opinion doesn't matter. So if we end up with a QB like this, let's just hope Mario and Dawson can get the best out of him. That's the bigger/more important variable anyways.

Bringing Tvd back would be insanity for Miami and TVd. He’s been hurt for two years , screwed by bad coaching and hurt Miami with decision making. It’s over , let go.

both backup plans last year are likely gone to the nfl, sorry to bust your bubble. I honestly like TT more than one of the options. TT has been a good player .

I’m not holding my breath either way but that’s a helpful update for comparison purposes

If we’re going to end up with a pedestrian QB, we better surround him with a star-studded OL, TE, another WR, and the best defense money can buy. That’s what UGA did with Bennett, except Stetson ended up a pretty **** good college QB.

I like Taulia more than Pratt and Rogers fwiw, but my statement applies in general.
