How will the Canes close in November?

NC St- Win Ugly. No more than 40 total points. 6 or 7 total FG’s.
FSU- Aint sayin it.
UL- Win. May be our cleanest game of the year.
BC-Win. Sunny and 55 degrees. Weather no problem.

As recent as right after the Clemson game I thought we were SUPER LIVE against FSU no matter what happened before then…As in go to the wire, anyone's game.

But with the complete 180 in TVD (and whatever disconnect there is between him and Dawson), as well as Mesidor now not coming back this season. I can't predict that now.

I believe 3-1 is best case and 1-3 if worst case. Losing to NC St would make me think 1-3 is more likely.

I think we beat NC State. How we beat them will dictate everything thereafter. If we keep going tight bunch sets for whatever reason, then we could see a rough end of season. But I haven't lost faith yet. No reason we can't run the table.

I meant to create this yesterday but I wanted to have an open discussion about how we all feel the will end the season. The last 4 games:

NC ST
FSU (4th)
LOUISVILLE (15th)
BC

In my opinion things can go so many ways depending on so many variables. The main one being the play of TVD. I’m not going to beat a dead horse but him gaining his confidence back & getting healthy as possible is the most important thing we need in November. If he can get him back playing like Texas A&M Van Dyme we could easily end the season 4-0 10-2 and wins over two ranked teams and possibly back in the acc conference championship. But that’s best case . The most realistic is going 4-1 and finishing the season at 9-3. We could lose to fsu and completely fold and go 1-4 in those last 4 also . I’m just curious to how the board feels the season will end realistically ?
👀👀👀👀👀4-1?? 1-4??? Are you including ACC title game or Da Bowl game??? 4-0 if Emory starts. 2-2 If TVD starts and finishes all games the NC St & BC are the possible wins

I want to say a win vs Louisville because I’ll be there but if TVD starts and turnovers start mounting then I don’t know if we can catch up with the explosive offense they have.

I'm sticking with 7-5 record. Should be 8-4 if Mario takes a knee. 8-4 is not unrealistic, but I think Canes lose to one of the unranked opponents since team still exhibits inconsistent play and game-time coaching is suspect. 7-5 is still an improvement over last year. 8-4 would actually be great, show the team moving in the right direction. Some freshmen playing well and hopefully another good class coming in next year. Biggest obstacle to entering the national conversation is at QB. TVD is not the answer. Emory? Who knows? Based on TVD's play, if Emory were the answer he would be the starter. I don't see even a glimmer of hope that an elite QB will be in the 2024 class. Until that position is solved, 10+ wins will not happen.

Well, let’s see here. NC State is atrocious on offense but that won’t matter because right now, our offense isn’t even functional and the Wolfpack have a very solid defense. Any offense can look good if their defense gets them the ball in the opponent’s territory so if Van Pyck starts throwing interceptions things could get very interesting.

We need this game or should I say the offense desperately needs this game. The offense needs to get their mojo back and lead us to a win because right about now this defense is starting to get tired and beat up. Time for Van Dyke and the offense to answer the bell. It’s time for the offense to do the heavy lifting. This game is crucial as this team does not want to go into Doak coming off of a loss. Beat NC State and anything can happen. Lose to the Wolfpack and the bottom may fall out this time. I like to think that I’m an optimist generally speaking but as much as I love this team’s grit and moxie, they have limits too. We can’t get into 20-17 brow beaters every week and expect that to be a sustainable path to victory. I’m sure Mario fantasizes about that but it’s just not reality. The offense needs to find itself and give the rest of the team and the fans a well deserved breather.

3-1 with a loss to Louisville. I think the emotions will be down after finally taking down FSU, and pretty beat up as well as well.

Forgive me but why is everyone so afraid of BC?!?! Yes, they are 5-3. However, they are 0-2 against teams with an actual pulse, and also lost to Northern Illinois. Their wins, 3 pt wins over Holy Cross, Virginia, and Army.....read that again. A convincing 15 pt win over GT, who yes I know, beat us, but really we beat ourselves, and a 7 pt win over ******* Uconn. Uconn, in football, not basketball. I don't get it.

Depends on Travis, FSU had Wilson and Hill both out last week and he still threw for over 300 yards. I think he’s only been “hurt” for a few series vs Syracuse and BC but he’s returned in both games.
