How to use Irvin....

Someone please inject possible thoughts on schemes, sets and packages. Dude on the team already like it or not. Question was simple! How do you envision the Staff using Irvin. Maybe some examples like other college teams or pro teams use their hybrid TE's.

He's not the athlete Reed is.

RS him, let him lift and eat and improve himself physically then let's see what he can do. If he's got any of his dad's desire to be great he'll be an important cog for us.

I get a little concerned when a 16 year old is rolling around in a new Hummer because that dog factor his dad had growing up with 20 brothers and sisters in a 300 square foot house might not be there.

Often, the thing that separates bust from player at this level is what's inside the kid. We'll find out if he has that inner fire like Kellen Winslow or if he's soft like Ray Jr.

To be honest ray lew jr. should have never been here...dude was 5'8 and ran a 4.8 40..its not his fault we gave him a scholly... I still remember the porsters who thought he would make a difference here SMH

Lewis's lack of ability didn't get him kicked out of here. You missed the point.

I guess catching 20 passes and over 200 yards against a loaded IMG academy team his junior year doesn't count for anything? Idk about a star but I think he will be solid.

About the same output as he had his entire senior year. Any insight as to why he wasn't used as much once he transferred to a big school? My expectations are what you stated in bold. Definitely not Ray Lewis III.

Irvin was used a ton at St. Thomas. He lined up everywhere and made plays in the big games. Like I said before, they even used him at QB in short yardage. He didn't put up huge numbers for the same reason Sam Bruce didn't put up huge numbers. They spread the ball.

It wasnt? Well I missed the reason why he left... I thought it was because he sucked

He was suspended a couple times and in the doghouse all the time.

Only reason he is on the team is...

I'm sure he is a great kid and some athletic ability, but if his pops wasn't GOAT he'd be in D1aa

Lol.

He will be like a flex/H-back type. Idk about a star but I think he will be solid.

Even Faquerson had a couple good games...

We currently have one of the most talented TE's in college football and we're already talking about how we're gonna use Irvin.

Only thing he's good for right now is bringing David Njoku his water.

(just kidding...)
(kinda)

Yes, one good game his Jr year is all that matters. Maybe he should have suited up for UM the next week.
