How to use Irvin....

I would like to see the staff use Irvin Jr. much like Washington uses Jordan Reed. Since Irvin is not a traditional TE in size, but has the skill set of a WR, he can be utilized much in the same manner as Reed. Your thoughts on how he should be used.

Only reason he is on the team is...

I'm sure he is a great kid and some athletic ability, but if his pops wasn't GOAT he'd be in D1aa

You really think so? To me I see a kid that is not a burner- but good size... Good football instincts and fluidity- with Elite Elite hands.

He was at best the 4th best receiver on his High School team his Senior year. I know its STA but still im not impressed.

He fit right in with those blue chippers and was an important part of the team. They even had him doing QB sneaks.

This isn't a Ray Lewis III situation.

He plays for st Thomas.... Makes since he had Trevor grimes 5 star, Sam Bruce 4star and another talented receiver in mike Harley as the other receivers... And if you go by stats Isaac nauta must be trash to you too huh? Had the #1 qb in the country and had less than 150 total receiving yards this year...

Isaac Nuata is severely overrated... and yes I fully acknowledged he plays for STA in my post but like I already said Im still not impressed. If his last name wasnt Irvin he probably doesnt make the team.

Umm. Many people on this board is sleeping on my little cousin. He will show you all though don't worry. He's gifted he's big strong, athletic, he has hands. He will start his sophomore or junior season here.

ball skills ball skills and ball skills... this kid is not here because of the name on his back; he can play.

A RS will be great for him. He can get lean and add some speed. The way he runs and his movements remind me of ole #47 . Looks very comfortable catching the ball. Doesn't fight it like a lot of HS receivers.

Go Canes!

TE is a tough position to project out of high school because they are hardly ever focal points in an high school offense like a RB or WR would. But speed isn't a big factor with TEs (The best ones in the NFL aren't burners) so we will see

Lol.

I guess catching 20 passes and over 200 yards against a loaded IMG academy team his junior year doesn't count for anything?

He will be like a flex/H-back type. Idk about a star but I think he will be solid.

About the same output as he had his entire senior year. Any insight as to why he wasn't used as much once he transferred to a big school? My expectations are what you stated in bold. Definitely not Ray Lewis III.
