How Much Time For Diaz?

There seems to be a fairly equitable split between "Manny needs more time" vs "Fire Manuela today" crowds.

Obviously I'm a "Fire Maneula" guy.

Putting aside those porsters who are always vague, then try and come back with 20/20 hindsight "I was right b!tches"...

How much time do you all feel Diaz needs for consistent ACCCD Titles and ACC Titles?

What does that schedule look like to you?

Has to win coastal next season. Not sure we're ACC title ready yet.

By year three, with Jarren under center, we should be ready to contend for ACC title truly.

But if you're one of the guys that think we keep switching coaches every year until we find a winner, God help you...because no one here can

that's a hard one i think he deserves another year if we go unbeaten but if it happens 2 years in a row. than hes just not enough . better than we have had if hes getting to the game but not good enough. If were another 3 loss team that makes it there and we get smacked he needs to be on his way out.

If hes unbeaten and its a close game and we cant seem to finish i think he deserves more time even if it happens twice. and ill give him the one loss to bama in 2021. Because that's a good team. However we will have mostly juniors and seniors on offense and our secondary we should be able to beat them.

I think that's fair.

Anybody who thought this was the year was not paying attention. We had a new staff, a huge question mark at QB (remember when Tate was going to be our savior?) and, no matter what, our OL was not going to be very good at least for the first half of the year or so (remember when Kennedy was going to be our tackle savior?), and we didn't know if we had a kicker (and we also relied on Hedley to be our savior at punter because we didn't have a **** punter).

Realistically next year was the year, assuming we found a QB and our OL began to look and produce like a top 20 team toward the end of this year. Yes, we'll have to replace the LB core, but teams always go through transitions. The tradeoff is that our DBs should be much more experienced than this year.

The program needs stability for sure.

The RIGHT stability.

I just happen to think Manuela has shown he is the wrong stability (as did Richt).

Miami needs to find an AD (Moglia from Coastal Carolina) and the right HC.

i agree but you cant blame Mannyfor that because he has used every kicker on the roster and they have all **** the bed. next year is his fault because he knows we have a issue and if he doesn't fix it that's on him.

We should at least get the Coastal next year. Beating Clemson is a different story. If we make it to the ACCCG then I would hope we are competitive and don't just get our sheet kicked in.

Almost all first year coaches struggle and even most veteran coaches struggle their first year on a new team. But the difference here is fan bases that actually spend money on their teams and go to games would rather their coach succeed. Most our fans here don’t go to games and can’t wait until he loses a couple to fly some banners.

I'm old old school and remember when coaches were routinely given 5 years. That said, unless Manny really fvcks up, he's getting at least 3. Personally speaking, if we don't go to ACC Championship game next year and at least play it close, he's probably not the right guy. We play a weak *** schedule in a weak *** conference.

While I am not sold on this staff and Manny, I think the last month has done lots to calm me down. I wanted him gone after Ga. Tech. IF, that if big if, the team continues to beat the teams that have less talent that we do, I think things will stay the same. If we get clobbered in recruiting and lose lots of guys to transfer, we may see some new position coaches in the spring. But, given the money and the poor history of coaching at UM for about 15 years, I think that Manny will get at least most of his third year before he could realisticly be fired. I hope by that point we are bragging about win streaks and beating Bama.......................we will see.
